Ordo is a HL2 total conversion community mod,
Concept
The concept is to encourage as many mappers as possible to create short, self-contained segments, then connect these segments together randomly for a unique 1 player experience.
There was another HL2 mod that tried a similar concept called Holoreality, and a HL mod before that called Project Quantum Leap.
This rebirth of the idea will allow for this concept to finally work.
Some improvements made over the original concepts include
random selection of maps, so you don't have to play them in the same order
Custom weapons, as many as possible, each weapon should only be used in 3-5 maps, so there will be a big variety.
custom npcs, as many as possible, npc's that fit the maps.
Since there is a transition room, the connecting rooms need nothing in common, allowing for mappers to essentially make whatever they want.

and there are a few maps in progress already, but more wouldn't hurt.

I have a few maps and weapons / models for it

The main problem i ran into, was I was having problems making new entities, not being a super good coder, and couldn't find anyone to help code.
by the way, if i were any good at mapping, i'd make you a map :P

I don't know, I think a community mod would be a good idea, but I just do not have the spare time to contribute. Good luck! Hope to see at least some creativity on this site, and maybe this is the mod to pull it off.
The idea of custom sweps is not gonna happen... And 3 to 10 mins? No ones gonna help you, because it would be dumb... You should do this mod with a story, good maps, and still try to make a few custom weapons and NPC's. But no ones gonna join you with this idea, sorry.
and i personnaly like this idea, it's like a picture board for mappers and scripters, good on you i say :D
Umm? Sweps is a Garry's mod term, not Half-Life 2 weapon coding.
