Fighter Aircraft news - Operation Garbo Mod for C&C Generals: Zero Hour

This is the first Russian Federation unit officialy revealed to the public even though most units for Russia are pretty much finished.

The MIG-29 Fulcrum makes up the bulk of the Russian Airforce and can go head to head with more modern fighters such as its Swedish counterpart the JAS-39 Gripen.
In Operation garbo the Fulcrum is avalible as soon you have captured an airfield and it can give the Russian Player Air superiority Early in the game since its cheap and readily avalible.
but the MIG has several drawbacks,its easier to lock on to and shoot down than more modern fighters.The MIG is inferior in Air-to-Air combat to the SU-27 Flanker that the Russian player can unlock via Generals point.
But it is along with the Forgfoot the only Russian jet with ability to atack ground targets.

The MIG-29 Fulcrum is armed with:
4x R-27 AA Missiles
1x KAB-1500 Guided bomb

Upgrades:
Thrust Vectoring= increases manouverability

The Gripen has been in the mod long time and is the only directly player-controlable
Jet for the Swedish side.The Gripen a True Modern Multi-Role fighter capable of both AA combat,Ground attack and recon.The main weakness of the Gripen is the fact that it is not best in any of its many roles. The Russian Player uses pure Fighter,Attack and Spy planes
that are superior to the gripen in their unique tasks.
The gripen can be heavily upgraded to become more efficent.

The JAS-39 Gripen is armed with:
4x Sidewinder AA Missiles
1x BK90 Cluster Bomb

Upgrades;
Gripen NG= new engine an avionics increases speed and manoverability
Recon pod= mounts a Recon pod that detect stealth units on the ground

The AJ-37 Viggen is an aging swedish Strike-Fighter
In Operation Garbo it functions as fast bomber in the Swedish Carpet bomb power

i made an alternate version of the MIG-29 with blue camoflauge and white "belly"

i havent decided what camoflauge to use in the final version
