4 years in the making, Team RayCast would like to introduce new mod: Operation Eisenfaust: Legacy

Description

We've addressed most if not all of your feedbacks and requests and noticeably improved the gameplay and weapon balancing, along with small art updates, missing sounds and general bugfixes. Among the major updates - mutant randomization and harder last fight. Thank you again for your feedbacks and we hope you'll use this occasion to replay "Legacy".

Thank you :)

And yes, we are working hard on our next mod.
This was just a sidework we felt we must do.

Thanks :)

...me neither. At the time I didn't think we'll ever go back revisiting Legacy, we usually prefer to fix past mistakes in our next mods rather that "staying in the past" re-working past works.

But we just felt it's the thing to do. Player feedbacks and especially gameplay videos showed us that some things in the gameplay didn't work quite as we expected them to work, somehow passing below the radar of both internal and external testing. Some features (like enemy rifle accuracy at large distances) created nothing but player frustration, there was too much health ammo and medkits on later levels, Mechas were overpowered, chaingun and RPG and some other weapons were overpowered and some other weapons unbalanced, last fight was disappointing and short, mutants were surprising only on first run and easily fire-spammed before they can do any damage, some sounds missing, and alot of other things.
For a mod that good and that big, with so much effort already invested into it -it was just too much of a pity to leave it with such easy fixable imperfections that make it less impressive than what it actually is or can be.

Still, we didn't do any mapping changes in the maps (unless through the code), just the coding.

Also I'm agree with the fix of the overpowered weapons and the health/ammo issue...

Wolfenstein 2020+ Is very silent, too silent.
I wish mods like these were realised each year.
