Thats right, Alpha 0.6 is almost ready.
The major changes so far are listed at the bottom of this with an excerp from owing_history.txt .. This is not the complete list, just what i could remember when i wrote it.
Alpha 0.6 is pretty close =)
Version 0.6 Alpha
-added LOD support
-fixed homing missiles, they were losing lock right when they were ontop of you.
they now seek properly, and you can duck behind objects to shake their lock
-changed the way the locking sound is performed, now the missile initiates it and the ping sounds are determined with
actual an actual calculation now instead of arbitrary values
-added new plasma weapon, has double the ROF of lasers, but only one plasma orb is fired per shot.
Alternates tubes (like the small missiles)
-made a new laser model and textures, changing the appearance
-included ow_vorta a new map, by myself - its still in alpha as well. I still need to detail it, but its playable.
-added new brush entity: func_forcefield, if you touch it, you bounce away and take damage; energy based weapons will bounce off of it.
-changed afterburners to use a floating point value so i can tweak the amount of energy it consumes/requires properly.
