From what I have seen, the mod seems built on lost alpha, at least the "recompiled levels".
no. it's better mod than LA.
This mod uses early build levels; lost alpha redesigned and cut down/added on to early build levels. For example, Lost Alpha's Garbage is around half the size of the actual early build level.
Lost Alpha and OLR are two very different mods. The former is filled with fanfiction plot and nice looking levels; the latter is filled with a ton of content and is much more charitable to the early builds, especially in terms of horror, atmosphere, and design.
It's a really bad fanfiction plot too
Yes, OLR is more rough around the edges, but gives an authentic looking picture of what STALKER might have been like if it was released on time. It's basically what Lost Alpha was originally going to be as well.
