Nova Aetas is set in the world of Calradia, but in a later period. The Old Medieval World is vanishing. A new era is coming and you, the player, will experience this. Nova Aetas is Latin for A New Era. The main targets are realism & extended gameplay.
This is a short preview of the crafting feature in Nova Aetas.
Nova Aetas is a mod for Warband.
* This is still a work in progress. Lagg in the middle of the game was caused by Fallout 4 which was running in the background.
Better smithing than Skyrim.
Looks awesome, anims are wooden, but it's okay.
Das dank
Oh my god ! Best mod E V E R.

Wicked cool
I was thinking of adding a crafting part like minecraft. Then you'll combine a handle and forged steel together into a sword.
Don't forget this is only the blacksmith. I am planning to add:
- Alchemist
- Priest / scribe (like the Guild II)
- Baker
- Tailor
- et cetera
Guest, how would you want recipes to work?
Will gun smithing be a thing? So far this is the mod that deserves MOTY at this point.
I didn't include bows, crossbows and guns. Do you guys really want to craft these? I'll also need to take technological advancements in account (muskets aren't available at start e.g).

More crafting types will be cool, but don't try to do everything at once. Too many modders try to build rome in a day and burn themselves out. Which is a shame, as modders are a huge part of why M&B is great. Their time, work, and skill lead to so many wonderful stories. Thank you for all you have done.
Minecraft's grid system isn't the best. It is very hard to find new recipes in-game, and if (for example mods) add two recipes that put the same items in the same slots only one can be crafted. It also limits recipes to exactly X items max. Starbound's system is much better, as you can look through what you can make, items can have the exact same recipe and both be craftable, and has potentially unlimited requirements for crafting.
The guild two is an excellent inspiration for "into the renaissance" crafting types, and using the different business types as a baseline for Nova Aetas crafting profession types is an excellent idea.
And finally, I am downloading your mod for the first time. What I have seen so far on youtube is excellent and your work goes above and beyond what I thought the engine was capable of. I can only hope you choose to continue this masterful craftsmanship in the new mount and blade game Talesworld is making.
EDIT I don't understand mod DB forums. This is a reply to the above request for input on crafting, but it seems to have started a new chain.
EDIT Ignore this, I misjudged the space between my preivous post and the beginning of the chain, as didn't realize I had succeeded. Let my stupidity be enshrined for future generations.
Good lord, it's utterly amazing what you're doing with your mod; It's more than what I've seen in any other mod.
i was wondering can you craft your own swords?
I have to admit, THIS was the only reason I decided to follow your mod. I wanted to main as a blacksmith, like a proper one but warband can only do so much but give blacksmith ENGINEER skills.
I cannot express how long i've waited for a game like this. skyrim was my only option right now only because it has smithing but not actual BLACKSMITH SIMULATOR.
in other words, you're doing such an amazing job. Can't wait to actually try the new version. currently playing the v.3.0.1 and still trying to main blacksmith and I'm still just visiting the workplace everyday. ;)
