The MAP Arabian Nights, is more the Power struggle for Wood. while the northern civilisation have a substantial amount of wood, the southerners do not, there is a reasonably large amount of wood in the center, if the northern team wish to hinder the southerners ability to gain wood from the large forest, it is easily done. But at what expense?
So if you have any ideas for a name for my first attempt at a 0ad map.

Seeing all the outdated maps and addons within this website as well as a sever lack of anything recent for the Alpha 20 release, I am thinking about spending the next few weeks developing and adding a ton of maps with different scenarios to the site. Maybe, maybe not; yet it's fun to design and test them ! Learning, understanding, and working with triggers may be my next project after I get some decent maps injected into the community (even though .js is not a strong point with me, the only thing holding me back is me).
Even though this post is several years old, I am excited to attempt to produce and upload some maps in the near future (one uploaded, "A Gladiator's Arena (2)", may decide how hard I push myself depending on if it is accepted and used or not). If the Community and/or Developers accept the work then I will continue with much more passion and self-discipline.
A BIG thank you to both the developers and the community for producing (and continuing to work on) such and amazing project and for keeping it FREE !!!
I look forward to any and all new developments within this project (and my wife LOVES it to pieces, which is a HUGE plus for me; even more reason to be thankful).

Most of 0ad community is concentrated on the official forums: Wildfiregames.com , so I highly recommend you to also publish your work (including the already released "A Gladiator's Arena") there for increased visibility and better chance of receiving feedback :)

Ahhhh.... a fellow Fedora User (I am ronysteele at fedoraproject.org). Can't ask for much more.
Even though I am self taught and have no official certs or anything, I will try to do my part and help out when I can. This game is too cool and free to not be a part of!
Funny thing that the game is not even out yet, still people already developing more civilizations to play with.
Which is of course a great thing. I just hope 0 A.D. will fulfil the expectations then I will certainly try out the mods for it.

... or something like that. I don't know if this proverb has an English equivalent.
0 A.D. is already fully playable, and there is an AI coming in a few weeks, (I'll admit its a fairly weak AI) the game looks beautiful when you play it.
I'm going to release the Arabian Nights map soon, just as a taste of what is to come with Northern Sunset mod.
