The development of Northern Conflict is rushing forward, and in this HUGE update we will show you even more models to be included in the modification. All of the pictures are clickable to get a larger view.
The progress of the KNM Fridtjof Nansen has continued, the Norwegian frigate is now ingame but not 100% finished. Just a few things remain until the Norwegian forces can take control of the 7 seas.
The Swedish counterpart to the Nansen frigate will be the HMS Visby corvette. It is smaller, but will still be a very deadly ship.
The vessels are the largest vehicles in Northern Conflict. Here is a size comparison:
The main battle tank of Sweden, Norway and Denmark is all the German Leopard 2. While the Norwegians use the slightly older A4N version, Denmark uses the A5. Sweden has the Leopard 2S, which is considered as one of the best tanks in the world. You’ve already seen the Norwegian A4N, here’s the Danish Leopard 2A5:
Tracked all terrain vehicles have been broadly used both in Norway and Sweden since the 1960s. They can drive everywhere in any season. The Hagglunds BV206 has two wagons; four-track-drive and can carry up to 16 passengers. Unfortunately, the BF2 engine doesn’t allow the back wagon to follow the front one. Because of this, the BV206 included in Northern Conflict will only consist of the front wagon. It’s better with half the fun than no fun at all!
Now it’s time for our new member Wideboy’s first project. This is the MSG90, a sniper rifle developed from the well-known assault rifle G3. The Norwegian snipers will have the pleasure to use this one.
Another project of a new member follows: onelegout’s skinning of the Diemaco C8 carbine (a.k.a. M/96 in Danish service). This weapon will be used by the Danish Spec-ops in NC.
The NASAMS (Norwegian Advanced Surface to Air Missile System) became operative in the Royal Norwegian Air Force in 1998. The system uses the AIM-120 AMRAAM missile and active radar guidance. The NASAMS II was finished in 2006.
The last model shown in this update is a civilian boat, which will be an important water transport on the sea maps. Use full throttle, or the following Stridsbåt90 may get in shooting range!!
We are also improving certain aspects of our older models as well. To name a few, the F-16 texture has been greatly improved, and the same improvements will be made on other models like the Bell 412 Arapaho and JAS Gripen. The Gripen has also been given a FLIR Litenin pod and a fuel tank and the Arapaho has been tweaked to give it an even more authentic look.
We are in need of voice actors for the respective countries in the mod: Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
Applicants should have a mature voice and speak the language of choice fluently. It is a huge advantage that you have experience from the army, and have some audio editing skills as well. Dialects are positive (but not faked ones).

Some of you may have noticed that the vehicle list on the website is not updated. Our portal has had some database problems which we are struggling to get rid of. Until we manage to fix them, the list will not be updated. We will also add a weapon list as soon as possible.
