Singleplayer and multiplayer mod about war on Donbass (ATO/OJF/JFO) 2014-2019

General information

Name: Nobody Except Us ("Никто кроме нас"/"Ніхто крім нас") - is a military slogan used by paratroopers of "VDV" forces (on post-USSR territory), including Ukrainian ones. However, there is another reason why we chose this title. Nobody except us will create a mod about these events!

Topic: the mоdification describes events on Donbass 2014-2019. Dedicated to soldiers of the Ukrainian Army, their heroism & feats. The majority of characters are fictional, and those who really fought in ATO/JFO(Joint Forces) had their names changed. Similarities in the hierarchy of divisions is merely coincidental, but the names and nominations of brigades, military corps are real. Information about battles was taken from independent sources (Wiki, blogs, books etc). The mod was created to showcase real events and get as close as possible to providing an objective viewpoint.

Features

Though our mod is based on CW but we have our own features. For instance, vehicles: we have developed a line of unique Ukrainian APC BTR-4 and BTR-3, self-propelled howitzer 2C5 "Giacint-S", a line of Ukrainian trucks "KrAZ", armor trucks "Cougar" etc. Furthermore, all these vehicles have authentic textures based on real camo. And it's only a few of our features, download and enjoy the rest!

Story of creating: the idea came up when the fights on Donbass were horrifically bloody and active. At that time enthusiasts created their packs for MOW (especially for MOW AS) about the Maidan (Revolution of Dignity, EuroMaidan) and ATO (JFO/OJF). However, they only posted screenshots (except for some packs, such as the low-quality "Ukraine War" mod). In 2014, a group thread revolving around making a new mod was created in VK, where multiple patriotic Ukrainians had joined our project (unfortunatelly, some of these creators no longer work at our team). Our work began with creating our own page in VK where, little by little, people interested in this topic started joining us. Even so, we still lacked some skills, and probably weren't too meticulous or experienced, so our first version - (alpha) hasn't seen the light of day till March 22nd of 2016. In fact, our story and serious hard work have only begun since then.

In 2019 our mod already has more than 5 versions:
- alpha, released on March 22nd, 2016;
- beta, released on July 8th, 2017;
- release ver. 1.0.0, released on April 13th, 2018;
- multiplayer release ver. 1.1.0, released on August 24th, 2018;
- range ver. 1.2.0, released on February 24th, 2019;
- ver. 1.2.2, released on July 29th 2019;

Singleplayer

Nowadays, our singlepalyer has 5 different campaigns from 2014 till 2017. Additionally, CO-OP is available in each mission, so enjoy playing with your friends. However, you can only play for the Ukrainian side, 'cause it's our policy. If you disagree with it, we don't object to other people making their own campaigns for the separatists, but we shall never create them ourselves. We only provide you with rights to use our resources.

As soon as you begin the mission, you will find yourself in the thicket of events durig the hot days of either 2014 or 2017; (your group's or armor's location doesn't matter) you must prove that you're able to fight off the enemy anywhere and at any time!

Multiplayer

From version 1.1.0 multiplayer is available. Four factions are available: Ukraine, Novorussia, USA & RF (last two are CW`s factions). Also, fans of the L/DPR can play for their side. We believe you'll greatly enjoy playing this, because new maps were created just for this mode!

Team

Currently, our team consists of 3-5 people, however, you can only connect with those who are specified in the authors/developers section. Feel free to address these people if you have questions/suggestions. The unofficial name of our team - UPO Team (Ukranian punitive operation Team) - was conceived by a former developer in 2017 and stayed that way ever since.

Size

The size depends on versions, it fluctuates between 4,2 GB and 5,5 GB.
