This mod has been in development since 2007. Some major features are: Corpses of the fallen will now permanently stay, population caps have been increased, and new units. Each faction receives one hero unit, you can play with and against any faction, and there are Heroes, crazy stuff (like The Maus, Powell, zombies,...) can be activated or deactivated in the reward menu. It also contains an Infantry Only mode, Early war mode, No Pop-Cap mode, and Quick Start mode in the victory conditions. This mod is only for fun! If you are looking for complete realism, try another one.

We are very proud be able to announce you that our new version of NHCmod is practically ready and will be available for Christmas 2011. This version will include a new single/multi-player mode "Infantry Only". As its name suggest, you will only be able to build infantry in this mode. However, we have decided to allow light vehicles like the halftracks and the jeeps.

New version is scheduled for Christmas 2011. Of course all reported bugs to us have been fixed.
NHCmod is a mod of Company of Heroes made for fun and not for realism. This mod includes the Pz VIII Maus or flying donkeys and even zombies! These crazy things can be deactivated in the reward menu and you can plays with the rest of the rich panel of units we have added. You can also play with or against any faction!


Unlike previous version we didn't focus on adding many units but more on gameplay. We have updated our maps and add news small urban maps specially designed for our new infantry only mode. A special "Air Warfare" map will also be present.

Here are the list of changes since 2.602a:

New Units:
- M15A1 Halftrack available in US Motor Pool.
- Sturmpanzer IV available to PE Scorched Earth.
- Baker and Able squad added to Airborne Company.

Upgrades:
- Infantry only mode added. Only infantry and light vehicles can be built in this mode.
- Bug of invincilble british flamethrowers fixed.
- Cost US Veteran machine gun crew is also reduced in the Infantry Company.
- Maus HP reduced from 4000 to 3500.
- Pershing requires the 76mm upgrade to be built.
- Damage of NW42 reduced.
- Bug of mobile flakvierling fixed.
- Defensive artillery cost multiplication multiplication reduced.
- Zombies are more vulnerable toward fire.
- Follow infantry ability added to M3 Halftrack, Sdkfz 250 Infantry Haltrack and Sdkfz 251.
- Axis AA units can follow tanks.
- Commandos can produce bren carrier and 6pdr gun from gliders.
- Pioneers, sappers and engineers get 10% penetration with any pick-ups weapons.
- HP of fa223 Drache reduced from 2000 to 200.
- Whermacht Supply truck moved to Kampfkraft Centre
- Fixed the bug that allowed the Maus to move on small brigdes.
- critical table of quad .50 cal changed to be more effective against aircrafts.
- Smoke barrage in the commander tree of tree infantry company don't have hotkey anymore.
- Reinforced Fallschirmjägers also get FG42 after the upgrade.
- Invisible weapon of allied medic fixed.
- Calliope reinforcement cost set to 600 manpower.
- Gewehr 43 package gives now 3 G43 rifles.
- Veterancy UI of British medic and British supply truck fixed.
- Panzer II max damage reduced from 50 to 40.
- Softer AI compared to 2.602a.

There was an exploit that allowed the Maus to pass the small bridges that are normally only crossable by infantry units or the goliaths.

The mod works in multiplayer like before but the combiner does not works in multiplayer. You have to edit the combiner yourself if you want to play it in multiplayer.

I love the idea of no realism and...just everything in this.

There are, though, some ridiculously awesome/huge tanks/SPGs that should be added to the game: T-29, T-30, T-95, Surmtiger, Kubelwagen (just a ball with an engine and tracks acting as a recon tank) and Morser-Karl (HUGE SPG). I understand you have no 3D modeller, why not ask the Eadtern Front team if they have one and if he/she can lend a hand?
