I like present our modyfication to the game Earth2160 created by polish studio Reality Pump. The NEP(New Earth Project- working title of the mod), is focused in bringing old units , atmosfere and that specific feel of older games created in Earth universe(like Earth 2140 , 2150 , the moon project , etc). But not only that. It is also some kind of experiment with is focused in showing what can be done in RTS games. Mod features: - New/old units from others game series, like Tiger for UCS , LBT(Pamir) for ED or cruscher for LC - Improved Fx - New maps created especially for this MOD(Also graphically improved) - Completely new gameplay. - New much clearer research system (Now you know waht you are researching.) - Diffrent build system for specific races. - Completely new reworked aliens, with much better morphing system(Morphoid player now “tech” like other nations...) - Old/New wepons technologies , with behave like as the ones from older games from this series . - Completely reworked a
that's a very long range there, how you planning on balancing it?
Rockets units in UCS have the same range of fire. Only Tarantula and Jaguar have a longer range of fire. Flying units have shorter range of fire.
It must be very long because only fast rockets with long range can shoot down the plane which flies very fast and has flares.
Units have different firing rate of and diffrent firepower. Better armored Tiger has worse weapons than Spider which is worse armored but has a very strong guns. Raptor has weapons as strong as Tiger weapon but has the worst armour.
In NEP you need to use all kinds of units:Raptor for fast attacks and replenishment of losses, Tiger and Panther for armour and grenades, Spider for plasma and AA guns, Jaguar and Tarantla for long range guns.
I'm really glad that there's a mod for an obscure game, and that mod happens to be one that fixes what the game did wrong...
