The intelligence cube will play a vital role in some gameplay.
Ion doesn't have the luxury of legs. so at some points in the game you will have to carry her. Just like you don't have the luxury of a voice and she does...

Seems a bit similar to Portal... Cubes AND insults?
Because its an AI that speak AND its in the half life universe, I don't think I could escape that link between portal. So trying to make it an entirely separate story would be a mistake.
