The next point release for our best mod to date is out: Multi Theft Auto: San Andreas 1.0.2.
One of our developers, ccw, did a tremendous job with resolving the most frequent problems and bugs from earlier releases. Major changes since the last update are fixes for a number of occasional crashes and assertions plus some improvements for our race gamemode, as part of the multitheftauto-resources project.
This release is of course fully compatible with the servers running on older versions (1.0 / 1.0.1), so there should be no problems with compatibility once you upgrade. Precompiled servers for Linux should be available shortly on Linux.mtasa.com and/or our GitHub download page.
As always, the full list of changes can be found in the Changelog on our repository, or in the download's description.
Great to hear some of the problems that occured for me should be fixed.
Great job.
Its even better than GTA4 multiplayer.
And ironically, got less bugs.
In GTA4, there are very little to no synchronisation. I remember playing with friends and fighting ON a bus stop. For one friend I was on top of it, for another - I was on ground. Both were able to hit me.
Thats just ridiculous for a commercial product.
And they're not even trying to fix anything...at least for PC.
@ MTASA
Great job guys! Love MTA.
dose this work for GTA:VS becouse iv seen a version that dose but it was unstable :(
I prefer this to SA MP cause of the Race and the map maker and all of that but just a shame it isn't as popular as SA MP.
Whats funny is APB is coming out as an MMORPG with only 100 people per server and these games have 128-500 people per server.
I also think the Menus in MTA are alot better than GTA 4 MP. I don't have to go into single player to bring up my mobile to just be sent out of single player into the multiplayer menu. Then use a horrible server browser with no customization what so ever and then to get outta the game once on a server it takes about 20 menus to do that.
The server browser and menus are just a copy of Valves style and I'm glad cause Valve gets it so right.
it say's only 1.0 is supported, so do i have to download 1.0 first?
This is a complete installer package, so you don't need to download previous versions of the mod.
However you need to have your GTASA to be in European or American version 1.0. If you have a more recent version of it (or German/Australian edition of the game), you can use our converter for which you can find a download link in the mod's download description.
