A comedic multiplayer game which creates an atmosphere players can comfortably have fun with each other, with the shooting/killing only one of the possibilities for entertainment.

The first beta release of Mudkip is now available.

It's official. Mudkip is now in beta. Gone is the old ways of complicated SVN setup, here to stay is the grand installer/patcher system.

Already in the works for beta 2 are a few new sounds from Suomynona, such as multiple insults for the crossbow. Flavin's prized map, mud_derkaderka, is planned to feature a tramway around the map in time for the next beta.

PizzaDrill, who offered to host a dedicated Mudkip server, which was followed by network problems, should have them solved some time next week. With the server browser fixed in time for beta 1, we hope this will encourage players to come and play together for a bit, rather than relying on someone to start their own server each time with this small of a player userbase.

If you have an idea for the game, a map improvement, some sounds you think would make a good addition, or wish to help out in some other way, we'd love to hear it.
