WTF ???
Here's a look at the second demo (or "update boss"), with apologies for the unstable quality of my recording:
This version of the mod actually works in Steam, which is a big positive! I also appreciate the improvements made here - especially the exit from the ring, which was sorely lacking before.
That new opponent looked a little odd though... what with his overly long arms and all. I get why it's a thing (it's a new model for the Alien Grunt, which also had long arms), but it's VERY odd.
Glad to hear it's working on Steam now! The model really looks very strange, it will have to make some changes hehe
This doesn't work in Steam, no matter how much fiddling you do with it. If you want to try it yourself, you'll have to use Xash.
Here's a quick video preview (once YouTube's done processing it):
It's a neat idea, let down by the fact that I think enemies - the zombie conversion in particular - have too much health, so fighting them goes on WAY too long.
(The fact blood is still yellow and the sounds haven't been changed are fairly minor, I think)
Thank you very much for your comment, I apologize for the problems of this mod, that they have too much health is because there was an error in multiplayer (it should also work there) I forgot to fix it since the multiplayer is not for the end, when I have advanced something I will solve it Do you think I should continue with this?
Yeah, I think there's definitely potential to make something out of this.
Priority one is either fixing the issues with running this in Steam, or turning it into a stand-alone Xash3D release. The Half-Life community can be a patient bunch, but if a mod is tricky to run, you'll get a LOT of negative feedback.
