Metropolitan Mayhem is a 15-map mod for Duke Nukem 3D (Atomic Edition). It's themetically very close to the original first and third episodes (LA Meltdown & Shrapnel City) of Duke Nukem 3D, concentrating almost exclusively on classic urban-themed maps. The original plan was to spend at most 24 hours working on each map so map sizes vary from small to medium. In total the mod should provide an hour's worth of oldskool entertainment. If you liked Duke3D, particularly its city maps, you cannot miss Metropolitan Mayhem. The mod was designed by MetHunter, MRCK, Mikko Sandt and Merlijn van Oostrum.

Excellent mod, especially for people who like the urban-themed maps of the original game (or urban-themed maps in general).

Nice callbacks to the original game, and the mod is enticing enough for many a playthrough. My main fault with this mod would be the last few levels (starting from Derailing), where the in-game mood sort of shifts and while the quality of the archi remains good and constant, the levels themselves feel odd comparison to the first 3/4ths of the mod. Regardless, a highly recommended mod for every Duke3D player!

While the quality isn't on an even level all the way through, this lengthy episode contains some of the very best maps released for Duke 3D - including the ones from the original game.

An amazing episode that really captures the feel of the original game. I can't believe they made each map in a 24 hour period, with all the levels feeling solid and polished, with good layouts, trimming, shading and gameplay.

The maps also make use of verticality with a bit of rooftop action (we really need more quality rooftop action in Duke), and something a bit more ambitious in the penultimate level.

The maps each only take about 5-10 minutes yet really show how fun classic, vanilla Duke 3D can be, and how an experience like this really needs to be brought back with modern games. Classic Duking at its finest.
Try it out now! I can't think of a better way to spend an afternoon.

Short and sweet. Very well designed levels, with many original and creative features. The Subway level gets the cake though, really makes you feel as if you were running and gunning through a real, interconnected city.

Great work overall and a enjoyable experience for an entertaining night worth of gameplay (as I just did)
