I've yet to watch it, but well, that was an interesting quest - to guess the new units and specualte about their origins. Finally more reveals, cheers!

Watched. That's a great style of presentation, keep it up! Nice tornado generating units, I wonder if it is a special death anim for infantry or just some specific animation. Seoras' voice is great, can't wait to hear MOre!

The only thing that honestly dissapointed me is the style of build anims. I understand these require LOTS of time to animate, but I hope there will be coventional "from the ground" buildup anims rather than "nano-out-of-nowhere" ones at some point of further development. They look ok for placeholders, but imo too cheap to being the final version. Inb4 people carmabombing into oblivion :D

Messages are interesting. What does Volk in Volknet mean, it is Russian for "wolf", or German for "people"? And why are they scanning for Libra? lol

The amount of work necessary to do buildup anims that show for less than a second in battle is simply not worth it. I don't think we'll be doing conventional buildups.

I'm afraid I agree on the buildup part. Maybe you could refine the current anim in the future? A great design involves paying attention to detail, or so they say.

We'll see what we can do in the future but for now the complete set of Foehn buildings uses this style.

Maybe "nano-out-of-the-ground" would be a suitable compromise?

I thought about that as well, there could be some "nano emitter" popping out of the ground which deploys into a grid from which a building "grows", materializing from botttom to top. Something like RA3 Empire buildup anims, except with a different color.

I'm going to assume the Quickshifter is based on the Chronotank from RA1? And those Foehn Minermites look a hell of a lot like Protoss probes from StarCraft. :P

All Foehn buildings are done (according to Speeder on the Revora forums) and all 50 unites are created and voiced (confirmed by Speeder on his Twitter). Currently, they are in the testing phase of the mod and the new client, so I assume November is a reasonable estimation.
