That looks like Alaska. I guess they're a futuristic Allied-Soviet resistance from an alternate future, where Yuri ended up dominating the world.

Didn't think of that. Perhaps that could be an interesting future.

I'm still curious what side 4's playstyle is going to be. Allies is balance, Soviet is powerhouse and Epsilon is subversive leaving only cannons as the only plausible choice based on what was shown in the teaser.

Highly doubt its spammer and unless MO has more than 5 factions, this Tvtropes.org trope stil doesn't count.

Then again, Speeder could always switch the existing factions playstyle without altering it much, E.g. Allies become cannons while side 4 become the new balance.

nvm, Speeder confirms its a defensive faction at facebook so cannons.

Didn't he said its a defencive _subfaction_, most defencive compared to other _subfactions_? Probably they get MO versions of laser fence and firestorm wall, but maybe the general direction of F4 is different from "defencive". They are known for tech from future: sonic, plasma weaponry and most likely chaos warheads which were removed from Yuri. So they can be like Protoss, powerful units and some tricky abilities.

Probably their logo displays simplified image of these wall hubs at 0:23 Youtu.be

Yes I have misread the FB comment and thought overall faction rather then subfaction. My mistake.

You're miss my point, I'm talking about the whole factions playstyle DESIGN and side 4's seems to be cannons.

In RTS game a faction with a cannons playstyle is faction mostly focus on great range and high damage and in some case, has a lot of special abilities but suffers from low speed and/or poor armor. Usually poor armor. The faction's main strategy is turtle, siege and hit&run;. E.g. Night Elves in Warcraft 3, ECA in ROTR.

Yeah, maybe you're right. Giant mechas with energy swords don't look like they are good for kiting, and drop pods most likely exist to compensate some lack of mobility (or because F4 is too modern to use planes), and trailer shows a huge cannon annihilating Yuri's forces stopped by firestorm wall. I smell initial OPness :D

Those gaint mechas could perhaps be one of the few "tank" units side 4 has to compensate its lack of brute strength.

Yeah I didn't realize how fast side 4's air unit was until I rewatch the trailer. Then again, all flying units are meant to be fast. The only exception is Kirov and Irkalla(because they have a tough armor).

In that link in the first post, that page lists as an example of these classifications, something called "red alert 2 new world order." I looked it up but found no results. Is that a mod I can get somewhere?

Alaska was where the Allies made their last stand in the Soviet Campaign of RA2. They also had a Chronosphere there. Coincidence?

What technology will they have?

They seem to be high-tech faction from the future (each faction's 'homeland' strongly implies this). So they might have chrono technology.

They have drones (like the Teratorn Skyguard), exo-suits for what seems to be their basic units (like Conscripts and Flak Troopers), hover-tanks, giant mechs, and Firestorm walls. They also have a bunch of weird aircraft in the trailer with exotic weapons.

Can't they be related to Brotherhood of Nod or GDI? I thought in original script, Yuri was send from the future by Nod, before EA got their claws into it.

Also Volkov (as prototype) was to lead to the creation of Cyborgs by Kane and Cabal.
