...in the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war.. Men of the Emperor: Burning Horizon hopes to bring the brutal, grim, dark and wonderful universe of Warhammer 40,000 we all love to the Men of War real-time strategy game franchise. With a small but dedicated team, we hope to bring as much of WH40K into the game as we can.
The Cyclops Demolition Vehicle is used by the Imperial Guard and is basically a tiny remote-controlled vehicle packed with explosives and guided towards a target from a distance, with devastating results. It is used for breaching enemy fortifications such as pillboxes and bunkers.
Cyclops are small vehicles, able to be carried in a Chimera, and controlled by a single Guardsman from a safe, remote distance. They are usually used to remove enemy strong points or bunkers but are also deployed to clear minefields and to destroy tank traps or razor wire. They are also used to clear out buildings. Often they will be transported in Valkyries and some have been remotely dropped behind enemy lines and guided to major installations to clear the way for an orbital landing. They are not common and are often assigned on a first come first served, only when needed basis. They are well liked by Guardsmen as it reduces the number of dangerous jobs they have to do.
