well it actually is a goedendag.
it is oftentimes confused with a morning star which is a stick and on the stick ball with spikes.

Simple and brutal but effective weapon, used by the flemish to pull heavy armored french knights off their horses and split them open like a can of tuna.

The legend goes that it's called a goedendag because the burgers would say "goedendag" (good day) to people in the streets and if someone answered back with a french accent they'd get beaten to death with goedendags.
