Medieval Kingdoms: Total War is a total conversion of Total War: Attila with brings the game to the high middle ages, set in the starting year of 1212 AD going until 1453 AD. I'd say that they should be holding those polearms much further out, also have you changed their attack animations? Polearms unlike pikes could be used more effectively for small slashes and locking enemy blades aswell as parrying blows, another thing is that the stance is a bit off i think, if the front rank is standing low the back one usually stands high so that they can stab, cut or grapple enemies from behind the front rank, especially enemy cavalry also the second and third rank shouldn't be presenting their weapons forwards since as the screenshot shows they'll end up hitting no one else other than their friends, i'd suggest also giving them some longer polearms.
