Medieval Kingdoms: Total War is a total conversion of Total War: Attila with brings the game to the high middle ages, set in the starting year of 1212 AD going until 1453 AD. This mod will completely revamp the game with new factions, units and much much more! (Yes this is the same mod team as for the Rome 2 version.)
By Ltd. Trial for making the wagons as chariots manned by handgunner.
OMG! Yes! This is AWESOME!
cooooool!
This heathen call for a trebuchet
aim the cannons!
Interestingly enough the Hussites used their (mostly stolen) cannons and handguns much better than their foes the Crusaders.
Some say that word pistol comes from czech name for hussite handguns "píšťala" (= whistle)
Yaaaaaaas!!
Just wondering how will you get the AI to use them properly? Wont it just try to use them like regular chariots?
A good question, we're also wondering about for it - most likely they'll do straight barricades but not big boxes. We have to test whether they'll do small boxes if we make it have hollow square formation.
Is this possible to add multiple handgonners/crossbowmen per wagon, since IIRC the Hussites ranged infantry fought in group from the wagon itself. And once deployed can the wagons be opened to allow cavalry to sally out ?
Sadly we don't know how. For openings you have to block it using your infantry.
very interesting
