What is Medal of Honor: Airborne Redux?
It's an enhancement and gameplay overhaul mod that attempts to fix the jank that plagues this underrated WWII FPS from 2007, such as the low FOV and awkward leaning/walking controls. In addition, it rebalances the Campaign difficulty to play more like a hardcore tactical shooter instead of a casual console COD clone. One shot from any rifle out of cover and you're through - on Expert. The difficulties have been thoroughly tested so players of any skill level can see Der Flakturm fall without fear of aimbotting, bullet sponge AI with inhuman reaction times.
I have always felt that there was a true masterpiece hidden underneath the exterior of this flawed game, and I hope that with the release of this mod that the public's perception of Medal of Honor: Airborne finally changes.

- Weapon viewmodel FOVs now realistic distance from camera based on 1:1 airsoft replica of the MP-40.
- Horizontal weapon recoil toned down to more realistic & controllable levels.
- Random vertical and horizontal weapon recoil toned down to more subtle & controllable levels.
- Mauser K98k given first two upgrades (match-grade bolt & stripper clips) by default to make it less useless.
- Mauser K98k iron sights now line up the same as all the other full-sized rifles.
- Sniper scope holding breath time increased to 10 seconds.
- Sniper scope choking camera shake intensity reduced from 10 to 5.
- Sniper scope choking recovery changed from 1.5 to 1.0.
How do we use the DDS file hitmarker remover? Not sure how to load it up in-game.
Did you read the installation instructions in the readme? You need uMod.
pretty minimal instructions though to be honest, theres a ton of files in the readme link and its not clear which one you mean, then I'm confused by how to load the packages and such in texmod
I don't understand your complaint of "minimal instructions". The readme tells you exactly where to move files to and what to overwrite, and even links to the download page for uMod.
It's really not a complicated mod at all, just some config files.
specifically step 3 of your readme. I click the link and get this Gyazo.com which one do I download? and once downloaded how do I use it to mount the dds. I'm trying to help you.

What do you want me to do, literally install the game for you? You load the game through uMod 2.54, then you right-click on the empty white space and you load the .DDS file. I don't understand why you are reacting like this.
Sorry but I'm not getting it either.
I load the game through uMod with -enableconsole,
then Alt+Tab back to uMod, add the .dds file,
back to game, load a level, and crosshair is still there.

Hey! So I've been playing the mod a good bit now and I love, LOVE the direction it's going in. I've just had a couple of issues so far that I'll list below. I don't know if these issues can be fixed because as you said, a lot of stuff is baked into this game's code, which I've also had issues with modifying way long ago. Still just gonna put them here in case it's any help.
1.) My gun flickers/disappears for a second after exiting ADS. Sometimes if I mix another animation into the queue, the gun stays invisible until I ADS again.
2.) When I stop running, the game zooms all the way the default FOV (80 I think?), and then it goes to the modified FOV (I'm using 120). This actually gets really nauseating after 10-20 mins of play lol. Again, if I mix another animation in with this, my whole game will flicker some textures for a second or two.
Both of these happen with 100% consistency. Everything else seems to work great though.
For what it's worth, my specs are:
CPU: Ryzen 3900x
GPU: RTX 2080
RAM: 16GB
OS: Win10 Pro
1. The flickering thing seems to be something caused by Windows 10, as I never had these problems on Windows 7. Not only does it affect the gun viewmodel, but also the lifts in Mission 6 as well. Changing the FOV has no effect on this issue.
2. Turn off "Sprint Effects" in the main menu.
Ah poo. Another good reason for me to dual-boot my PC.
I know that the gun flickering is due to playing at high framerates, cap the fps to 60 with rivatuner or your program of choice.
Vsynch should work as well but I haven't tried it.

Also there's one more issue about the leaning animation,
if you got a greased landing the character is unable to walk anywhere, wasd only maps to leaning towards the corresponding directions. The issue won't go away unless you switch the weapon
Hey there, is how do you enable the multiple "Upgrades" for weapons? I really liked the upgrade system, it really made me want to use the weapon to get experience. Also, how to I change the experience required for each weapon?
great mod though, but I always get killed when the enemy blindly fire from cover.
The upgrade system has been purposely redesigned for balance (G43 too OP), realism (Springfield clips would be blocked by the scope), or avoiding jank (StG44's whack scope sensitivity). Upgrades have had their EXP requirements increased in order to make them more rewarding when you finally earn them. In vanilla, it's not hard to get both the Thompson and M1 Garand fully-upgraded by the end of the first level.
I am sorry about the blind fire deaths, but MOHA does not seem to have AI inaccuracy parameters specific to blind fire.
After many (idk how) years I remove this relic from the bottom of my closet, also known as the Compact disc®. And the memories come, from our ancestors when they had to venture outside (long before the Covid-19 plague) to get their physical versions at game stores. I pick up the disc and put it in the reading tray, forgotten but functional. A familiar spinning disc speeding sound is made, that i hate and love, then splashscreen appears. Begin setup, I am asked for an old electronic hieroglyph which is found in the plastic box, like a carved rune, i use the indispensable "Serial number" and wait patiently for the disk to complete the installation. Despite the old cd with marks, in the end it works. N o s t a l g i c.
But really, reinstalled just to play again with the mod :P Thank you!

Hey, is there a way to have the compensator for the Thompson be the first upgrade you unlock?
I found this mod perfect for making the overall gameplay tolerable in 2021 however I do die a bit easily and suddenly. Especially with enemies being able to shoot through walls or objects. In my game this happened before installing the mod so its not a mod issue. It makes this part im up to almost impossible as you have to get up close and get insta killed.
I beat the game 3 times on Expert as part of playtesting. Overall, I'd say this mod had about 40 cumulative hours of playtesting. There's only one part that's a potential softlock, and that's if you die during the stone arena thing in the second level and reset from the checkpoint. The enemies can kill you before the black screen fades in after death. There was nothing I could do to remove that fade in effect.
Step 3 really needs its own video tutorial

Excuse me you say turn off the sprint effect .. but there are no off option?? it keeps cycle through other options .. did i install something wrong?
& To apply the Vsync it can be activated from the MOHASettings.ini file

- It would be nice if the dead bodies remained lying on the groumd and not disappearing after a few seconds
- While Pressing right click for iron sight and then pressing Shift and a or d to lean while firing the character is stuck at that position while reloading and after reloading i have to press right click again to stand normal or look normal
- i'm Still testing this mod so far and its very nice it made the game really interesting unlike the weird game developers choices .. i understand what they were trying to do but it wasnt enough
uMod hit marker fix isn't working for me. Added the texture package, and ran it with -enableconsole through uMod, no effect in-game. Is there a step i'm missing?
Okay, for anyone having trouble this, copy the d3d9.dll file from uMod into your moha binary folder. Run MOH first, once in game, a tab labeled MOHA will pop up in uMod. Alt-Tab out and open the texture package in this tab once appears and it should work.
These ragdolls are great, I can't believe they covered them up with those giant hit-markers.
Is there a way to make the dead bodies stay permanent to help the immersion?

I'm using this mod but have been having issues. The mod loads up fine but during gameplay, my rifle disappears at times until I fire or reload and it reappears. Also, the I am unable to peak when in cover.
