* Pre-Installation Notes *
1. Make sure all stock Doom3 (v1.3.1) game files and folders are properly installed and in their original/unmodified release condition at the right locations and folders.
2. Also make sure that your "Doom3/base" folder contains only the original Doom3 (v1.3.1) files and remove any modded/extracted files/folders from that folder.
3. To prevent any potential cross-version incompatibilities and errors make sure any previous versions of MCS (including the MCS v1.2.3.8 installers and archives from the "Softlaunch" previous to the date of "November 21st 2019") have been completely uninstalled/deleted from your "Doom3" game folder before installing the latest version of MCS.
Once you've downloaded and extracted the "mcs_win_installer_v1238.msi" installer file, run it and make sure to point the installation path to your existing "Doom3" game folder (Example "C:\Games\Doom3"). Once the installation is complete, two shortcuts named "MCS Client" and "MCS ServerLauncher" will be created on your desktop and a "Mars City Security" programs folder is created at your startmenu.

Run the "MCS Client" shortcut to play or run the "MCS ServerLauncher" shortcut to host a dedicated MCS server.
The game client settings can be fully configured in detail via the ingame "Main" or "Multiplayer" menu.

Will this work with the steam version? Not talking about bfg edition.

You may have answered this somewhere already, (If so, sorry for asking again) but does this work with bfg edition (Steam)?

Unfortunately No, it does not work with Doom3 BFG.
Do you have plans to make it compatible in the future?
The renderer, gamecode, netcode and general thirdparty modsupport differ fundamentally in "Doom3 BFG" vs the original "Doom3 1.3.1" version. That is why we decided against a port and support of the MCS project for "Doom3 BFG".
Does the coop component of this mod include the Doom 3 expansion or just the base campaign?
The coop experience inlcudes the base campaign plus a multi hours long custom campaign. The expansion ROE is not included.

looks very freaking awesome,i always wanted a online co-op multiplayer experience in doom 3 i will sure test it out this mod,i hope this mod still with a active player base.
just downloaded the mod i use amd graphics card and unfortunately the screen was all messed up when inside the game i had to rename the doom3.exe and edit the bat file mcs.exe instead of doom 3 to work single player works fine now as it should be but i saw your video showing the windows server client demonstration and dont take long to start the servers in my case i think theres something wrong when i launch the multiplayer co-op servers it gets stuck in a few moments in ''4 spawns (4 initials)

I Cant vote to add bots its shows a black and i cant vote add the bots.
Is this vanilla doom 3 coop or are some things modded like weapons or anything? I was wondering because if its just vanilla doom 3 with coop will this work with mods like "perfected doom 3"?
EDIT: Tested it out for myself and see AND love the weapon changes!
