Interesting - as always.

Maybe the joint between the pelvis and upper leg could have been done differently. Like a combination of 3 articulated pistons. This telescopic sort of steering ball seems a bit weak imo. But again, with your artificial muscles technologies it might be ok...

Thing is, legs have to bear all the weight of the mech. Strength is needed.

But that looks cool. For sure.

Considered it a lot and the artificial muscle system is indeed what makes it work and allows much more articulate and precise movement for this frame.

The ankles have the same kind of joint and even the servo drums contain similar muscular based technology for precise movement and strong support.

The thigh bone is also about 40cm in diameter which does give it quite a bit of structural strength with the whole frame being built from more advanced materials that we have available today.

Yeah, that's what I thought, so that made sense.

You still wouldn't want to take a rocket on that point right ? ^^

Description

Working on new legs for the WK-209. This time with proper internals and better mobility.

The old legs worked ok, but in the end they had some design flaws that needed to be improved.
