JURASSIC PARK HUNTER LEGENDS (Version 2)

NOTABLE CHANGES:
☻ Advanced A.i. Patch added.
☻ Speed and aggression were corrected for each dinosaur.
☻ Improved animations in dinosaurs (specially walk/run animation).
☻ New textures in most dinosaurs (except male velociraptor).
☻ Geosternbergia added.
☻ Female Velociraptor added.
☻ Female Tyrannosaurus added.
☻ Dilophosaurus spits venom when attacking.
☻ Pachycephalosaurus is now a huntable dino.
☻ Male Tyrannosaurus added as final boss with new "kill" animation.
☻ Old maps were replaced by their second versions (previously released as DLC maps).
☻ New map added: "Site X".
☻ Hip firing added in weapons (except sniper rifle).
☻ Crosshair added in weapons (except sniper rifle).
☻ Some old weapons were replaced by the ones released as DLC previously.
☻ New weapon added: "UZI Pistol".
☻ Hunter has new "death sound".
☻ New main menu background.
☻ New menu soundtrack.
☻ New menu pictures (for dinosaurs, most weapons and "Site X" map).
INSTALLATION:
1)Download the zip file.
2)Extract the files.
3)Go to the folder called JPH Legends V2,
inside you will find the JPH Legends V2 icon
(that one is the .exe file). If you want, you can
create a game shortcut on your desktop: Right-click
the executable file (the JPH Legends V2 icon), and then
click Create Shortcut. You can move that Shortcut on
your desktop and it is ready!
4)Right click on that JPH Legends V2 Icon and set the
compatibility for Windows 98 / ME, then select
apply and accept.
5)Double Left click on .exe file and you are running the game!
IMPORTANT:
-The mod Will work fine if you go to OPTIONS, then go to AUDIO
DRIVER and select DIRECT SOUND 3D. After that, go to VIDEO
DRIVER and select DIRECT 3D. For a better game experience, you
can enable 3D shadows, change the textures and resolution too.
-An alternate VIDEO DRIVER is 3DFX GLIDE. Use it Just in case
that you have issues when you run the game with Direct3d Render.
To enable this render, go to VIDEO DRIVER and select 3DFX GLIDE.
Then, choose 1024x768 for the RESOLUTION.
WARNING!
-Do not use the DLCs in this version. This mod uses a different
engine and won't work properly if any DLC is installed.
-Once you selected 3DFX GLIDE and you run the game, some Windows
(Windows 10 specially ) could tell you that this 3DFX render is a
virus but we tested this render and isn't a virus like Windows says.
We really don't know why some Windows do it. If you have issues with
3DFX render, tell us.
-DO NOT RUN THE MOD IN SOFTWARE MODE OR THE GAME WILL NOT WORK FINE.

Even though I already resolved the Heap Allocation Error to get into the game, the error still pops up when I click the HUNT Button to go hunting. why is it happening?
Right click on executable file - properties - in compatibility tab, select windows98/ME - mark the box and Hit Apply - then Accept. It should work.
If the Heap Allocation Error stays there, make a new folder and get all the files of the mod. Then, put those files in the new folder that you created.
I did this and I'm still getting the "heap allocation error"

and DON can the mod in menu of the pc buts why bucase not have files to read and have error can open bla bla bla
Try this: make a new folder and take all the mod files. Then, put those files in the new folder that you made. Remember to set compatibility for Windows 98 in executable file.
EXELENTE the maps are great done so far i have only tried 3, also the vegetation is a brand new game

Hi. No, it isn't. But, you can download the same weapons here in addons to replace the mod V2's ones, and they won't have the shiny effect.
Which's the target for male t rex??

I really enjoy this mod. It's well done, but i did notice you nerfed the swimming ai for the carnivores. But, the ai is less sensitive and they run away less often from you than in the classic carnivores. Do you have any idea how to permanently set the resolution to a non native one. So you can use the console command set resolution x y. But it resets after you restart or end the hunt.
It's a little bit out of date a guess but, for working full screen resolution the best way is to get nGlide driver and istall it, set prefered options in nGlide settings console, also check the graphic card drivers for updates, latest direct x and visual c++ and then choose 3dfx in game options before playing
Hey Tormer! When I tried to click on the shortcut icon (on my desktop menu) for the game, it keeps saying "Can't open resources file_res.txt". Is there any way you can help a pal on this one (you're awesome by the way)?
Hi! Try this: right click on your shortcut icon, then go to properties and select compatibility tab. There, mark the square to run this game in compatibility mode for (and choose Windows 98/ME). So, click apply and accept just to save your changes. It should work for you.
i pressed hunt but nothing happened my cursor teleported to the center of my laptop screen
Well, go to options and below (in video driver): choose 3DFX Glide - go to resolution and choose 1024x768. Then, Exit the game and restart again.
Hey, I just downloaded and I'm excited to get started! Everything works as intended up until I select 'hunt.' My screen gets minimized, then it comes back to the hunt screen, so I'm not able to start the hunt. My compatibility is Windows 98/ME, and I applied the recommended settings in the README. I also put all the files into a new folder, but that didn't work, either. Do you have any advice on fixing this? Thanks!
Which video driver have you chosen in game options? i suggest this: go to options and, in video driver section, choose 3DFX Glide. Then, choose 1024x768 for resolution. Exit and restart the game again to try the new settings.
Why when I exchange Female Velociraptor to a Deinonychus or any other raptor/dino it ain't works properly ?? The 3D model of the dinosaur crushing after being shot or when kills us
Because the addons only works in the first version of Jurassic Park Hunter Legends. Not in the V2 (this one has a different engine).
Ok I found out that to fix this issue I need to edit .REN file a guess, but I don't have any usefull tool to do this, any advice pls ??
To play the mod with the addons properly, I suggest you to use the first Jurassic Park Hunter Legends version, not the V2.
Very nice mod, cool game but site X could be fix to stop dinosaurs fell into a wholes and stop them goin out of the map, half of them usually stuck in the damn traps making this too easy
This is hard to fix, because it is more a programming thing than mapping. So, i can't promise a possible fix.

everytime I go on a hunt it backs me out to the main menu, any ideas on how to fix? running win98 compatibility
Hi! Make sure to set direct 3D or 3DFX Glide (use 1024x768 resolution in this case) for video driver in game options. Also, i suggest to install Directx end user runtime web installer (this will install the old Direct x components that old games need to run properly). After installation ,restart your pc and try the mod again .
