This looks amazing! Really love the UI design and the way the camera reacts to the player movements.

Do you plan to add 1 vs 1 multiplayer to this or would it be too complex?

Thanks, this is the third and final camera iteration, which finally feels perfect.

It works great in 1 vs 1 multiplayer online and on LANs. The video didnt have any footage of an actual match because I didn't have anyone to play against to record it so I used bots (which currently are not constrained to their fighter moves).

Do you want to be in the next video? :)

This release focuses on 1 v 1 matches between human opponents. The next beta will introduce a new machine learning system for bots.

I've also got some thoughts on doing 1 v 1 on a single computer, but it's a longshot...

Only just seen this comment, sorry! Superb work on the mod, even EoC didn't get featured on PC Gamer and Kotaku so congratulations. Awesome it works online, I didn't realise - thought it was just offline with bots. I look forward to future updates!

Thanks Matt, I appreciate it. Getting on Kotaku was complete chance, but I'm grateful that it happened. You guys crushed it with the publicity and word of mouth on EoC IV.

Now that the crunch on beta 2 is over, I've got to play this EoC IV install I downloaded...

If you do get a chance to try Jedi Fighter and wouldn't mind being in a gameplay video, please let me know. The AI jumping around has really been a sticking point with the different comments in reviews.

Thanks, I'll try take a look at Jedi Fighter this weekend after I've finished putting out patch 1 for EoCIV, it looks awesome from gameplay! Again, great work. The responsive menu structure is incredible.

Glad you like it!

This version will support normal Jedi Academy AI.

Beta 3 in January will have full fighting game AI based on neural networks. They'll be trained to figure out the best move based on their position relative to the opponent, their speed relative to the opponent, their moves list and health. They will also learn from opponents during matches.

That is really cool. Don't know if it is to much work, but might be cool to add an option to be able use guns too.

Umm, why is the ai jumping all the time?

I needed to set up botroutes on the map to make the bots navigate properly and stop jumping. It worked as a test, but the bots also charged and would stop attacking when getting too close. Basically, I broke something with bot route AI and ran out of time to debug it so removed the botroutes so they would at least attack, albeit randomly.

Beta 3 will fix that.

Offtopic, but the background music is soooooo good that it would be a miracle to have it on youtube!
