This is just my opinion and my point of view of how I see the story of this game and why I choose it. I do not know a lot from other eras from Star Wars like a ton of people do, and this could conflict with your opinions, but remember. This is just my point of view. I don't want to start a debate or something like that. KOTOR I DARK SIDE VERSION KOTOR II DARK SIDE VERSION SWTOR DARK SIDE VERSION ORIGINAL SAGA DARK SIDE VERSION I Choose KotOR 2 because I love how the Dark Side is represented. I love the story and the escape that gives from the Original Saga because in this game, the Jedi are really vulnerable. More than in Revenge of the Sith. Also, I see KotOR 2 as the darkest chapter from Star Wars because of the explorations to Korriban and the stories for that era Siths. Cults, massacre, wars, strong Dark Forces and insanely bloody events that happened around the KotOR times. NOTE: IMAGES NOT MADE BY ME. I DON'T TAKE ANY CREDIT FOR THEM. THE JEDIS ARE ALMOST EXTINCTS AND THE SITHS HAVE A TOTAL CONTROL. SIDES ARE NOT REALLY IMPORTANT, IN KOTOR 2 THE SITHS ARE LIKE OVERPOWERED MONSTERS FROM HELL.
THE TABOO FEELING DISSAPEARS, DARK SIDE START TO LOSE FEELING AND INSTEAD OF TABOO, I FEEL SIDE REALLY STRONG. IMPERIAL
THIS IS A COMPLETE HIGH TECH AND JUST A LITTLE FEELING OF TABOO. THE DARK SIDE IS REALLY PREDICTABLE IN THE ORIGINAL SAGA, BUT THE FEELING OF MYSTERY AND THE OLD HORRORS FROM THE DARK SIDE ALMOST DISAPPEARS... at least in the movies. Some comics paint really cool stuff from this era.
Remember that I don't know a lot from the extra eras from Star Wars such as Darth Bane, before the KotOR games and a ton more.

Anyways, that is not all. I choose Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords because I found this chapter of the Star Wars Universe as the darkest one I ever seen. Just the character himself, Darth Nihilus and the things he did to the spirits of the Jedi when he spoke. The way the story tells what the Sith Lords did, and how the game shows the Jedi not as powerful like on the Original Saga its pretty cool. I found Darth Nihilus as the worst Nightmare that a Jedi could ever meet on the Galaxy. Also, Korriban, this planet full of dark teachings from the force and death knowledge is pretty amazing. Rituals, death, torture, possessions and really dark demoniac stuff happened there, which is kinda exciting to imagine. For me this game shows deeply what the Dark Side of the Force is, and shows to the players how the Dark Forces, Dark Spirits and Obscure areas of the Force can really be. For me, the story of KotOR 2 has that feeling of open one of those forbidden dark taboo books from the most demoniac religions of the world (I am exaggerating a little bit, but the sentence shows the picture :>). This game also has its friendly part giving to the player the ability to show the Light Side too and travel to places in which the Exile is "protected" from these damned forces. But, mainly the Dark Side is portrayed as a dark satanic side that we did not really saw on the Original Saga films. For me, this game shows the Dark Side as I first Imagined it when I heard that words on Star Wars for the first time. Something beyond the science and explanation, but in a really dark taboo picture. Darth Vader and the Emperor are badass Siths, but they still don't have the image that Darth Sion and Nihilus bring to Star Wars. For me, KotOR 2 was a really exciting experience which changed my mind about what the Siths are. Without this games, I could not imagine the origin of the Sith Lords on the main Saga plot, because they did not really are as dark as the Old Republic siths. On the Saga movies I saw the Dark Side as a side mainly, a point of view... Republic/Imperial. Also, the next game Star Wars: The Old Republic don't really portrays the Dark Side like KotOR 2. SWTOR starts to paint the Dark Side as a side, like we see on the Original Saga. It keeps really cool moments of story, but on the game, the Dark side lost the essence of what it was on KotOR. In Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 the siths are like demons that came from Hell to kill every Jedi on the galaxy in the most painful and bizarre ways. Of course they have the Triumvirate side, but they apply the Dark Side in a more open way using demonic powers to destroy the Light Side. Nihilus eating planets and killing Jedi by just speaking, the stories of the war and destruction of Malachor, and finally the power of the hidden caves and tombs on Korriban are examples of the open looking to the Dark Side.
THIS SHOWS A LITTLE BIT OF MY PICTURE. HOW ALL STARTED MORE LIKE A TABOO AND ENDS IN A POINT OF VIEW, BUT EVOLVED WAY TO SEE THE DARK SIDE. ASWELL WITH MORE KNOWLEDGE ABOUT ALL IN THE END.

I agree! The KotOR era is definitely my favorite era in the Star Wars universe. Have you read the KotOR comics? It would be sick If you could somehow add some of those characters to this mod. Keep up the good work!
I just have seen a couple on Youtube, but I am not really into comics to be honest. But to add extra stuff to the mod, I will check them soon in a free time :3
One mission that I saw on a Comic and I really want to do is the fight between Revan and Mandalore the Ultimate. I dont remember if was a comic or a swtor video, but I saw the place and a couple of movements.

Yes I agree with your point on this being the darkest Star Wars moment. And Nihilus and Sion are by far the creiepiest Sith Lords in history. One eats planets , the other refuses to die.
Even if Vader is my favorite Sith , it is true that the dark side in the imperial timeline stood more for imperial and light for republic. And I kinda hate the fact that because of this they think that the Empire was 100% bad for the galaxy. Before CW republic - no real military strength - just a lot of planets making decisions without the power to enforce them. And the Empire of the Dark Side stood for order enforced by a powerful military.
But in this period the Dark Side was trully ...well dark. The time of the first jedi purge that wiped out the old jedi order , forcing the jedi into hiding to wait to be hunted down one by one. Even if the story was rushed and had some holes due to the studio being forced to release it before it was ready it was still a great experience. The characters , development and the fights themself. Also the subtle hints of Revan's path which SW TOR kind of ruined.
And the fight between Revan and Mandalore the ultimate. I think it was one of the timeline trailers for SW TOR. Which explained that Mandalore was used by Vitiate to start the mandalorian wars to weaken the Republic before his empire came. A role that was then taken by Revan and Malak. But it will be kind of hard to make such a battle fun in Jedi Academy. Sure you can give him a viroblade model and good guns and stats , but in the end nonforceusers were rather easy to beat in the game. With the exception of those evo troopers with that heavy gun they had. You could give him boba fets flamethrower but that is really annoying to deal with as it forced you to use lighting or ranged weapons to fight him.
Yea. I love how the developers portrayed the Dark Side on KotOR 2. Its just awesome :3
Also, for Revan and Mandalore the Ultimate... this was a surpise mainly :o, but I was really excited yesterday and plus I did not slept for like 2 days (things to do) :>... I was pretty open to all the questions. I apologize for reveal that so soon. But, yup I just saw the SWTOR line video, it was there, but actually there is a mod for Kotor 1 in which the fight is recreated.
I have a couple of plans to do this cool, and this is just a little for the stuff I have saved for show as extra when the base mod is finished.

Well, I haven't played KOTOR or KOTOR 2, but I like the way the Dark Side was portrayed in the Original Trilogy. What really felt dark to me tough, were the last levels of the expansion pack to Jedi Knight 1 called Mysteries Of The Sith. You can feel the dark atmosphere during the missions on Dromund Kaas (there was a Sith temple there). The farther you get, the darker and more evil it feels. You should play it (if you haven't) or check the last levels on YouTube. It's an old game tough, so it may feel unplayable to you because of its dated graphics. There are also problems with getting it to work on Windows 7. I might actually get KOTOR, KOTOR 2 or both. You made those seem even better. :)
