There's nothing quite like the rush of running, falling, jumping and crawling your way toward the release switch whilst under fire from rockets, railguns and lasers... then jabbing that switch and releasing all your team mates! Then finally watching as they all come running out of the open doors and beat the other team to death with Laser Cleavers! There's never a dull moment in JB, you're either fighting to stay alive, fighting to release your team mates, or fighting to escape from jail!

Jailbreak! Can you break out?
Jailbreak is modification for Half-Life 2, it's simple: Two teams, two jails. When you kill a member of the opposite team, they respawn locked up inside your jail. When a member of your team is killed, they respawn inside the enemy jail.
Your objective is to imprison every member of the enemy team. The twist is, you can break out members of your own team, by fighting your way to the enemy jail and opening the doors! The game goes back and forth until one team is entirely locked up, the losers executed (in a variety of customised ways), then the next round begins!
Features of the mod include:
- Radar showing team member and Jail locations in your HUD
- Icons showing the number of jailed team members and enemies
- Customisable execution sequences (for mappers)
- Difficult escape routes with physics and timing puzzles
- Two completely new maps (Metropolis: A city area. Abalos: A subway station.)
- Team dependent trip mines for defence
- All the files and guides necessary to create your own Jailbreak maps
Jailbreak has been developed entirely over the course of four weeks by just two people (Dogmeat and Wills). This is a first release and although we’ve done our best to ensure there are no bugs, some may have slipped through the net! As the mod grows we intend to implement several more, new and interesting features, plus many more maps to this great, classic gaming concept!
Dedicated Servers:
We need Dedicated Servers! Currently, we only have two running, one in the UK, one in the US. So if anyone can spare a server or two, we'd be very grateful!

Make trailer and add AC/DC - Jailbreak to the music :D
Indeed, we had several servers going yesterday, some with good pings, some with bad, two dedicated, but more than 6 players and they went down. Frustrating, but we hope as we release further versions and the popularity (hopefully) increases, people will be generous to us and send some more dedicated servers our way.
TwwIX: Servers aren't cheap and if every mod was required to have a dedicated server on release I doubt we would see the number we do.
Give it time and they will come.
dont release a mod if youre not planning on running at east one dedicated server
classic idea, i'll dload later and hav a play ;)
