Replaces the simple zoom for weapons without scopes with full iron sights. It doesn't simply use an image, the front and back sight actually line up in the center of the screen over the crosshair. There is a new option to remove the crosshair.
The next iteration. A number of new features have been added, some smaller, some larger.
Alpha 1.1 improves upon alpha 1.0 by fixing a few glitches and adding a number of features.
The most noticeable additions are as follows:
The only remaining actual glitch (that I know of) is that the weapons vibrate just slightly when sighted in. I have tracked this glitch down to the very core of the engine, and to put it shortly, unless I had an animator, there is no way to fix it. Therefore, in order to keep it from being distracting none of the sights are held directly up to the player's view. It's still slightly noticeable, but it is much subtler than before.

Very nice!!! Seems the m249 finally has Iron Sights now.
Downloading...btw I've been doing some Iron sights modding as well on this old but super cool hl2 mod called smod. Man it's take lots of trial and error to get the proper coordinates for sights to align...is that how you do it as well?
I started out by doing trial and error, but eventually I changed the weapon scripts to reroute the fire and reload buttons to incrementally change the position offset and angles instead of making the weapon fire or reload. It still takes a little while, but after some practice, It only takes me about fifteen minutes per gun. Another thing I do when I'm adjusting them is increase the amount that the view zooms in, making it possible to make the iron sights more accurate to where the weapon is actually aiming. I hope that helps!
I'm glad you like it, and yeah, I noticed that I forgot about the M249 in the previous versions so I added it in.
Happy playing and modding!
