Insurgent Strike is a realism mod for BattleField 2,that was founded in early 2008.Our main goal is to provide the most realistic experience our team can provide, while keeping the game fun.All maps will have full SP/Co-Op support also.Community input/feedback is important to us so please visit our website and sound off.
Insurgent Strike is mainly centered around current day combat in the Middle-East against Insurgent groups, such as in Iraq, and Afghanistan.Though the mod also focuses on combat against militia groups, such as in Western Russia. As this is a realism mod, factions, kits, vehicles, maps, and everything in-game has been adjusted to be as realistic as our development team can make it.Though we still try to keep the game fun.We use our Military advisor's knowledge, and our knowledge,of the military, weapons, and current day conflicts,to deliver a fun, realistic combat experience through Battlefield 2.
It has been a very long time since we have released something and I am truly sorry for that, however the developer team is not what it used to be, if i'm honest most of us haven't got the time any more. So basically what I'm saying is that this could be the last release and if you download it you will realize that it is in fact the developer release, we have not had the time to create an official public release. So once again I am sorry. The build itself is rich in new content so I hope you will like it.
PLEASE READ! Due to it being a developer release when you download the mod it will update several times, when updating however it will become unresponsive, if you close while it's updating it will completely screw your IS Build up!
I would also like to state there are no servers running for it, if you would like to buy or host your own IS server please do so, we really could do with some, we did have 4 main servers but due to lack of support and how we have not accomplished much in the last 6 months I simply deleted them.
Last but not least I would like to thank the whole developer team even those who have left us in the past.

The menu has issues due to localization files are missing for each language apart from english. As the mod team was english speaking there were no translations made.

What's the difference between this and project reality?
A lot
I was just about to ask myself the same thing.
If you made and sold mods on a disk, it would work so much better
Not really cause then you would have to "Buy" your mods, which would mean the whole freedom of having mods crumbles, I mean if we wanted added contect to buy go nag DICE and EA for downloadable content that you assure them we are all going to buy.
This nigga must work for Todd Howard now
