Behold: Insularis Draco! An overhaul of the 2014 gem 'Invasio Barbarorum II: Conquestus Britanniae'. 30 playable factions, four (!) immensely detailed maps of North-Western Europe, covering the period of 355-700 A.D. when tribal migration, plague, climate change and all-out war spelled an end to Antiquity and a new world of 'barbarian' kingdoms rose from the ashes of Empire. The Dark Ages have descended upon the West. 'Times of great trouble and uncertainty offer substantial opportunity, but it is reserved only for those who dare to grasp it. Who will be Bretwalda and who will be Insularis Draco?' Greetings from the modding team (Urbgen, Benfras, Belovèse and PythagoreanBeans) working every day to improve I.D. for you! ... right? It makes a lot of sense because 1. you can immediately see which of yours and which of your enemies' army are mercs and you can either target or avoid them and 2. they'll be tough to tell apart (which side they're on) which also tracks. Same with Foederati (though those flags only appear when the unit is owned by Rome)

I know... I still have to do some essential work on making the Germania 356 (that's right, I changed it) campaign basically playable. I'll release it without any active scripts, but it will be playable.

Description

Something new (and I think quite unique) to Insularis Draco: all non-factional units (mercenaries, rebels, foederati) now have a unique banner indicating which culture they belong to and which function they have. Germanic units belonging to the Roman army will have a Foederati flag, mercenaries will fly a white flag rimmed with red and a symbol of their own culture, which will differ per culture. The units pictured all belong to a Danish army but the mercs have Germanic mercenary flags.
