Description

The Renault R35 was not the best tank in the french arsenal in 1940 and quickly became obsolete afterwards. Nevertheless the Germans still had some in use in 1944 and they saw limited combat in Normandy, mainly with Pz.Ersatz Abteilung 100 during the battle of the La Fiere Causeway.

The chassis was also used to mount the czech 4,7cm AT Gun to create a self-propelled AT Gun. Service in Russia was not very successful, due to the harsh road- and terrain conditions. So some of them ended up in Normandy.
Both units have been added to various US Missons on the Cotentin Peninsula.
