IW v2 is a overhauled version of the original IW. It holds little in common with the original as the 3 episodes that featured in it have been heavily updated. Plenty of new weapons have been added and there are 2 new episodes as well. One of these consists of maps made by the Duke Nukem community for both IW v1 and V2. The other episode is a much more story orientated episode with time travel and even has a choice of endings. Iw v2 uses Eduke32, an Enhanced version of JfDuke with much more coding control allowing fantastic effects. The port it is based on allows for models and high res textures which IW v2 takes full advantage of.

Report RSS IW v2 Release tommorow

It's finally over - IWv2 will be released either today or tommorow, depending on how long it takes to upload. The final filesize will be 340mb , and it will be standalone. The mod is completely playable and has undergone beta testing, but it's not to a 100% mirror shine polish as I would of liked. However it's still a blast to play. If there are any major issues than I will release a patch as soon as I can to fix them (excluding errors beyond my control)

Imagination World is an upgraded version of the original IW mod I released for Duke Nukem 3D V1.3 way back in the year 2000. This version has been in development for a decade, and has seen many ups and downs along the way. However it's an important landmark for me to release this now; this TC is also a prequal of sorts to the AMC TC. It helps set up a background to the events in that TC and any future projects of mine as well.

There are several areas which aren't completely finished (such as defense mode) however the product itself is definitly playable. There's also a complete post-mortem included in the html manual detailing the development of the mod. It's also worth noting that I've seen a few people comment on material used in the mod; unfortunately I'm not an artist and I don't have the time to learn. Recruiting people for the project to have 100% original content would of been practically impossible and made release even more unlikely. Getting people to model for an old game is a hard enough sell as it is, but seeing as how this will probably have a limited audience as well would also mean not many people would see their hard work. In anycase I hope the people who would be affected by this would overlook the issue as it was either use the content available to me or not have a project at all. I hope you enjoy it in anycase.

Why didn't you use cube 2 engine? It's free, and high in graphics ! Also doesn't crash
