Israeli Defense Force: Fight for Independence is a Total Conversion modification for the PC game Battlefield 2 (A.K.A. BF2). What we aim to achieve with this mod is to immerse the player into the historic wars involving Israel, Syria, Egypt, and Jordan, which are the 6-Day War, the War of Attrition, and the Yom Kippur War. The player will be able to play as a common soldier, crewmember, or pilot in these wars. The mod will feature historically accurate equipment such as the famous Russian AK-47, the fearsome SO-4050 bomber, the menacing IS3 and M48 tanks, and much, much more. Also, the maps will recreate actual battles that happened in these wars, to complete a historically-accurate and immersive modification. IDF:FFI is also a member of the acclaimed cooperative gaming studio Black Sand Studios.

I was wondering, will you add the battle of suez in the yom kippur war? Seeing Egyptian militias armed with RPGs,anti tank grenades and other weapons would be great! The battle of Suez was the final battle in the yom kippur war :) . Besides, we need some urban action XD and I do have historic pictures for the battle :)
In second release, it's likely. In first release, no, because the first release will only feature the 6-Day War. Good idea though.
By the way one of the most common weapons used by the Egyptians in 73 was the flamethrowers (russian flame throwers ofcourse :P) Are you planning to add that? for 67 I think you should add crap load of corpses all over the place and destroyed vehicles and to make the egyptian soldier spawn right in the middle of all of that XD. for 67 you might add the battle of el Arish and gaza which had the most intense actions in the war as the Egyptians there and a palestinian division held their ground until the last man..literally.
Finally..PLEASE DONT tell me you are planning to use the arabic voice thingy from vanilla BF2 -__-
El Arish and Gaza are going to be in the first release, Gaza is in early WIP stage.
We are currently using the Arabic voices from BF2 but we do want to replace them. We already have Hebrew voices for the Israelis. Since you are Egyptian according to your profile, are you able to do voice acting in Arabic?

By the way I just wanted to say that if this mod becomes a pretty successful one. You can make another mod but this time modern Israel VS Egypt which should be interesting. For 73 pleaase tell me ur going to add the saggers (yes I know I am being a bitch with the whole please add this please add that. Just wanted to be as realistic as real life :P XD)
Yep, we already have a big list of things planned to be done for the mod, in our private developer forums. Yom Kippur War and all of the sexy weapons involved are waiting until after we get the first release out, which is a daunting task in itself.
