Hyrule: Total War is a conversion for Medieval 2: Total War. A vast majority of the iconic races from the Zelda universe have been represented as armies that the player can assemble, command, and ultimately use to destroy their enemies. The Hero of Time has chosen to return to the past, a choice that ultimately has ruined the charts of history and sent Hyrule into chaos. Major wars that were already decided have unmade themselves, allowing fallen armies a second chance at these critical events in Hyrule's history. This is where you, the player, comes in.

I don't think I'll be making a trailer for this version, I'm trying to keep up a pace so that patches and the next version comes out at a decent time.
It is not a problem and is understandable. Just saying you have a real talent for that ****.
The new Moblins and darknuts (but especially the Moblins) look gorgeous (and no, not in a sexy way - a bas-*** kind of way lol) - makes me wanna play this mod again.

Find the files of the game on your computer. Normally here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Sega\Medieval II Total War
Make a folder named "Mods"
Install the game there.
Enjoy.
Didn't seem to work for me. The files aren't even in their own folder like I thought they should be. There is no executable or anything. Just data and descr files sitting next to the Teutonic campaign and weird things like that.

Yay! I'll be getting back into Medieval 2 again now... I'm going to need to figure out the constant CTD on start bug whenever I try to start a mod though
Hey Neph. id like to tell you that on turn 13 in the freeform with the stalfos it crashes when the Zora Dominion takes its turn. im really upset cuz i got a really good run going.
Also, i would think the Stalfos should be majora worshippers. theres not alot of them on the map, making the majora faction really hard to check out.
While I am not sure if they should be Majora worshipers, they certainly wouldn't be atheists. It should be changed to faithless or something akin to that. it isn't that they don't believe in a higher power. Otherwise how else did they become stalfos, it's that they have no faith in the gods and scorn them.
yo. so I been playing this mod for years. but I keep stopping because the game crashes in battles. why would it do this I thought the newest update will fix this but no... :( any ideas?
Do you have any more details about the battle that caused a crash? Such as which factions were fighting, what units were in the armies, and what location it took place in? Posting a crash log on the bug forums might also help me find out what caused the crash: Twcenter.net

ok so when I use any faction in any map. been like this since I first played the game. which is why I keep leaving the game for a year at a time :( but I use mostly shiekai and hylian and zora domaion.

Love this mod Glad you got my two favorite factions with 2 updates, but 4.5 seems to crash CONSTANTLY. In battle, start and middle. After turns, during turns During my turn, as Teili, Labrynia, moblins, wizzrobes, Darknuts (love the iron doggies) Faries, and gorons. And that's all I have had the time to and patiance to try. Don't know why it's happening and it seems random and makes it unplayable. Hate having to revert as I love the darknuts, but it just seems to crash all the time. Keep up the great work though!

It sounds like the installer might have been corrupted during download. Maybe trying to download it a second time? If it doesn't work I can try and send you a pack of all the files manually.
I am having a similar problem, I think. I have extracted the files, and I run the installer. When I run it, it seems to skip Part 1 entirely and only download part two.

Are you using the Steam or CD version of Medieval 2: Kingdoms?

not sure if this is the casue but both EXE. hyrule4point5 are both part 2 in the installing.
Hey UndyingNephalim, YOU ARE GREAT at hyrule total war and I have seen many issues been fixed by your magic and I don't want to bring you down by this commit but I am having some trouble with the forces of twilight campaign (so far I have sided with Midna) and one Major problem I was having is that the mirror gate by the arbiters ground is gone I am not joking I was going through the campaign I went to the arbiters ground and in it's location was the water and at first I thought it was a glitch so I reloaded it but the gate was still missing so I will try a new campaign but I felt I should let you know about it and the other issue I had was when I fought any rebel army lead by Zant it kept crashing none-stop. These are the two things that kept giving me problems and I know that the faction is still a work in progress, so I hope these somewhat help you if no one has brought up these problems.

Guzs the mod crash on battles on different campaigns
dont really Get know to know which Unit cause it but well last try was with Link and army composed by recruits , mounted and footmen ,Crowsbowmen and Walker canons , Commandants* and surveyors* of Oocca againts armies of Gohma with lots of mercenarz which were mostlY them foxy bastards and the renegade recruits thing is that on one chances i got to play for a while a battle againts them on the Hyrule prime province but the it crashed like..yeah after that not even a chance to plaz only crashes

I have the issue where when I attempt to install Hyrule 1.5, it crashes on 23% on the flamethrower part. I've even downloaded it twice and it still crashes. I think the moddb download is borked for me.

So can I download just the 4.5 update or do I have to download them all?
I'm having the same issues as the others, where I try to install with the exe that says Hyrule 4.5, but the install says it's 4.4 part 2. While I'm not sure what the second exe does, I can't play the latest version without having the part 1 of the 4.5 update.
Yep, I just checked the files. 4.5 part 1 is 4.4 part two, which crashes on 23%, on the flamethrower part. 4.5 part two is actually part 1. Can you change the download so they have the correct files?

I've been playing as the darknuts, and I've noticed something. The peltasts are currently superior to pretty much every lower mid tier unit they have, with a ranged attack, a melee attack of 3 which matches other darknut units, and 20 defense. The hoplites have 17, and legionaries have 19, so the values of atleast their defense and maybe the whole factions attack as a whole could use some change, other than that i'm really liking the mod.
Haven't checked on this in awhile. (PC crapped out) but i recently acquired a new one. So anyways i just wanta say thanks man. I absolutely love this mod and play the hell out of it all the time. Its my favorite PC experience of all time. You do the Zelda Fandom proud my man. Lanaryu for life!!!!
