Hyrule: Total War is a conversion for Medieval 2: Total War. A vast majority of the iconic races from the Zelda universe have been represented as armies that the player can assemble, command, and ultimately use to destroy their enemies. The Hero of Time has chosen to return to the past, a choice that ultimately has ruined the charts of history and sent Hyrule into chaos. Major wars that were already decided have unmade themselves, allowing fallen armies a second chance at these critical events in Hyrule's history. This is where you, the player, comes in.

Hyrule: Total War is a Real Time Strategy game set within the Zelda universe of Hyrule. Players will command the various characters and races from the Zelda series while they play through the main storyline or participate in a freeform campaign where anything can happen. Build up your Kingdom, level up and play as your favorite characters from the series, and either save or dominate Hyrule with your massive armies.

Found two problems straight away.

1. A few "Unlocalised placement text" errors with multiple units.
2. Hyrule Historia completely broken.

if your read the change log at the bottom you will see why the Historia is "broken"

Yeah there is some missing text errors. Looks like a few, 3, for the Twili and then one for the Deku tribe and . . . .dangit I can't remember the other 2. My game keeps crashing too for some battles, and I don't know why.

And just discovered the Hylian Wizards for the Wizzrobe seem to have a color issue and are all black, instead of the white on their cards. . . .and have no eye sockets. . . .

The Freeform Campaign plays like a hotseat campaign now. It's the only way the Twili Civil War can function.

Another great update. Just one major bug I've come across playing this time. When I play the Realm of Twilight (love the civil war concept) I choose to play supporting Queen Midna. The problem comes from when Zant's forces appear and refuse to attack or attempt an attack on my settlements. That's not so much of a problem, since I can focus more on building my forces. (Side question, is there a specific turn I have to wait for in order for Zant's forces to attack? I've even tried luring them into a settlement so I can attack but nothing.) Still, since I can't build a portal to Hyrule until the civil war is resolved, I tried attacking Zant's forces in the field. However, when I do, the game immediately crashes. I don't know if it's a bug or just my computer but this only happens when I attack Zant's forces, no one else's. Hope this helps a bit.

Same issue. To add upon though. On the reverse side as Zant, as I gave up trying to play as Midna, if a crash occurs and I load either of my saves it sets me up as Hyrule and then is stuck on the rebel Twili's turn. Also, are events supposed to occur as you conquer the prison and presumably other settlements? They did not occur for me if they were, but then again, I didn't end my turn and took Zant straight against the fairy, who does not shoot bolts incidentally, where it crashed.

Hello again, found a way to work around the Twilight issues. The way you do it is start the rebellion and then suicide Zant, then surrender to Midna. After that, you'll be under the standard Twilight faction with all recruitment options available and be able to build the mirror gate and progress on. Have encountered no problems with this set up so far.

Figured a way to do the rebellion side of the Twilight campaign. First, you select the Twilight and some other faction that would do nothing if under the control of the computer, like the stalfos. Then you do whatever you want with the Stalfos but you ALWAYS save on the Stalfos turn. That way you can load it and play Zant's forces from the beginning of each turn. Will you lose whatever progress you've done in the first part of your twilight turn? Yes, but at least you won't have to reset your entire campaign.

Just to say people if you don't want your game to crash too much. Always have 2 saves, one for the turn your on and 1 for the turn before and never ever load the autosave. Could be me but everytime I load auto it crashes probably since I have one of my settlements excavating ruins.

Hey guys, got a little bit of an issue here with installation. Whenever I get around to installing a part into the file I made for the mod, it starts to install, then at the same point, it gives me an error that states verbatim,

"The cabinet file 'disk1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package."

I'm sure this is something on my end, but I wanted to see if somebody had encountered the same issue and possibly fixed it. I'm not sure if i'm installing to the wrong directory or need a re install. I'm using the steam version of the game BTW.
