nice, I like your vehicles. You need some maps for vehicle based combats, like capture the resource etc. See Ravaged game, it has fun vehicle combats
About soem vehicles the driver should maybe not be the one able to shoot and if he is only at certain parts, I suggest the driver being able to shoot from he's side of the car only which would only be at the door he's at.
The Second player would be in the turret position in which you could either mount something like a manuverable turret for the second player to control, this would remind me a bit of Halo though.
Also all army vehicles should probably withstand most firearms fire as they are supposed to be armored.
By the way, will you include a tank at some point?
We're going to limit the driver with pistol or smg weapons ( or anything that can be held with one hand )
In the turret position there will be a m2 browning mounted and sometimes a giant railgun of some sort.
You won't be able to shoot out the front, in our new humvee model there is bullet proof glass at the front, it can withstand most bullets ( up to 7.62x51mm at most ranges )
We've already had some base code written for a tank vehicle but it wont be put to use for a while as other things have priority.
