There's no such thing as DX9.5 and GeForce's 6200 can barely handle DX9... :/ And you need to fix the textures on the map, it looks like it is cutting in the edges of the buildings.

well dx 9.5 is only enabled on the vehicles atm, not all textures on normal hl2 have been set to use the new dx 9.5 system, so far all cars are texture controlled to match your hardware, if you have dx 8 it will disable certain features such as vertex shading, cubemap reflection, etc. but by having hardware above and beyond normal dx9 status, mainly anything higher or equivelent to a geforce 6200 OC 256mb, will be auto enabled for dx9.5. right now the world isn't enabled yet for dx 9.5, but that may not change for version 8 since we have been keeping it from the public for so long, we may just throw it in hsr version 9. but we'll see. :-)

Um, I was being sarcastic.... DirectX 9.5 doesn't even exist, there's DirectX 9.0C and DirectX 10.

i have a geforce 6200 OC, it can do hdr full on lost coast just fine, so it can run dx9.5, dx9.5 is hl2's bloom/hdr shader if you want to be technical. to enable this shader your dxlevel in console must read or be set to 95 like this "dxlevel 95", what we did was improve the shadow technology and merged it with the bump map technology to create a constant shadow changing car that has as much detail lighting as possible.

Description

Here's a little preview of what HSR looks
like when you enabled dx9.5 shaders.
Geforce 6200 OC 256MB or higher required to use
it. Enjoy!
