What is Hybrid Theory? Hybrid Theory is a total conversion modification for the 1998 first-person shooter, Half-Life. The term 'total conversion modification' refers to a user-made game, based around the original title's source and using the game's editing software, that bears no relation to the mother game. Hybrid Theory has a completely original story, new enemies, NPCs, textures, weapons and environments, and an all-new cast of voice actors. Feature List - Hours of tense, haunting, atmospheric adventure. - Numerous environmental settings, from the mansion, to the laboratories below. - Slower-paced gameplay. - Refined aesthetic quality. High quality textures and larger polygon counts contribute towards a stylish, impressive look. - Original soundtrack - Full, high-quality, well-scripted, professionally-acted voiceovers. - A collection of brand new models and textures. Release Date TBA 2004

HYBRID THEORY LIVES Yes, it may seem hard to believe, but Hybrid Theory has been clunking away and is still very much in existence. Admittedly, progress has been slower than usual lately, with back-end stuff dominating (doesn't it always?) Still, we're back in the public eye, and everything's going

Release Date Alterations
"March 2004" will still be met. Luckily, it was never specified what would be released in March 2004: it will, alas, just be a public BETA will be available in said month. Still, the full thing should be released by Summer and, judging by Valve's deadlines, should be out before Half-Life 2.
