Advanced mod: Revived is a Home World 2 modification that specializes in taking the 2 existing races and expanding upon them. The idea, is to add in multiple different new ships, re-arm every ship in the game, and specialize each ship with a blended, but still clear role. By giving the player more options, and doing it in a professionalized manner the mod "advances" the gameplay of Homeworld 2 into something different, something more fun, and yet still tactically fulfilling.

With the realization that my past versions were far more... unprofessional than I realized, I have spent the last few months tweeking, fixing, and advancing Advanced Mod. There are multiple changes, though nothing to serious. Most notable, the Hiigarans now spawn in instead of with a carrier, a light carrier. This carrier has no resource points, and cannot build frigates, but the upside the Hiigarans get from this is that light carriers are cheap, and can be built without a capship facility

Big note here: The 2 useless races that crashed the game, have been removed.

There are multiple changes, though nothing to serious:
-Most notable, the Hiigarans now spawn in instead of with a carrier, a light carrier. This carrier has no resource points, and cannot build frigates, but the upside the Hiigarans get from this is that light carriers are cheap, and can be built without a capship facility present. No worries, they still have the normal carrier too.
-Another big set of changes is that Hiigaran battle-cruisers can now build the overly-used giant torpedo racks on the side, and an additional PDW system, making it on par with a battleship, which is where the next portion comes in.
-The Vagyr now have a Battleship (Alkhalid from PDS) which can be built, and nothing, not even a fully equipped Hiigaran battle-cruiser can defeat it toe to toe.
-The purchasable turrets for capital ships have been recalculated, evaluated, and repriced (RU's and time) so that they are more balanced in that aspect.
-All armaments have been re-evaluated, and most have been changed, slightly. Turrets are now standardized between the models they use, and the type of weapon they fire.
-Might be a few more... I don't remember

Once again, I am running Vista on my computer which makes the majority of the HW2 editing tools quite incompatible with my system. So a .BIG version is currently unavailable, unless someone would like to provide a .big version and upload it somewhere where i can re-post it here.

It should be available now, sorry moddb has a admin system that keeps malicious postings from being released to the public, so it takes alittle while for things to authorize.
