That's right, version 1.3 is out, downloads already approved, a few new pictures, with more to come, and even a brand new trailer, complete with proper credits for the game, and the mods in the trailer itself.
Lets talk new features.
First things first, as is made clear with the last post, there are now new turrets, some custom to the mod, a few borrowed. With this though comes many other, much more exciting features.
Foremost, is the changes in weapon armaments. I think those of you who give the mod a play-through, and have played any of the earlier versions, you will agree, that most of the cruisers roles are quite a bit clearer.
Though the roles of some of the Vagyr ships are still confused, the Hiigaran ships now have generalized themes, and capabilities that make them better in specific roles. No worries, more work will be put into further specifying ship roles in the future.
Another large kind of change to the mod is that there are new types of weapons, ranging from the barely noticeable changes in the Vagyrs Battleship Ion cannons and strike craft weapons, to the Stiletto anti-strike craft high-maneuver missiles, and the Vagyr Berzerker medium-trinity cannons.
Anti-strike craft weapons that would be better suited redirected towards strike-craft, instead of fixated on another cruiser, (which provides minimal damage) while ignoring the hordes of bombers eating away at armor... are no longer a problem. The same goes visa-verse as well.
