This doesn't really make sense. I mean it would make sense for there to be dead lands in Europe where most of the Euro-Russian engagements would be but Saudi Arabia? Who would nuke Iran or Saudi Arabia or any other middle eastren country besides Israel? In my opinion it would be better if there were lots of small city states scaratted around vying for superiority over each other.
Because in Fallout lore there was a huge and brutal war between the EU expy and the nations of the Middle East. They don't really talk abut Russia that much in Fallout

This is from the "Middle East" page on the Fallout wiki (went there to make sure I was right before I spouted something wrong). This supports the "Glowland", however we do not know what is meant by "limited". This could refer to using tactical nukes, having it be a nuclear holocaust only in the Middle East, or something else completely.

Sure but I'm guessing ''Glowland'' refers to places that are radioactive wastelands. So I don't get why would anyone nuke the empty desert of Arabia.
Theory: Arabians nuked these oil field's to prevent them from falling into enemy hands.
