This mod aims to recreate the very popular fighting game Mortal Kombat on the Gold Source Engine.
Well, these are the characters that we thought would be most fitting for the MOD, because they are fun and they would work in GoldSrc. Take note that one or two characters may be not be in the final version if they are not good enough, but this its pretty much the full roster, are there any other characters mising that you would like us to add? Tell us!.
If you can make all those characters shown with unique skills close their originals in MK, this mod will be awesome! I don't see any cool characters left out.

Baraka
Well, we discussed Baraka as a possible character, and found out that it was not fitting enough for the mod, as he had only, 1 usable skill which is "Blade Spark" or however is it called. The rest of baraka's attacks are made through blades such as, blade spin, the impale thingy he does by dashing forward with his blades and the choppy choppy movement. And the blades would have been used as Melee.
Again, we considered him, we just didn't find it fitting enough nor really fun for it. In the same way we did with noob saibot, although we are still thinking about noob.
The abilities for the characters would be like so.
Melee, secondary, tertiary and/or fourth and/or fifth in some cases.
Exactly, if we happen to think a better ability set then we migth add a character, or if one of the characters in this list dosnt seem good enough it will be out too. If you give us reasons then we migth consider a character to be in.
My favorites are Baraka*** must have Baraka. make it happen, what about swiping? its like a bladed crowbar. The shoosty spark thing is another move. Kabal. Im sure you have reasons, but he's one of my all time favorites. No Kano? why!!? It would also be a feat, but Shang Tsung. lol.. That would be some coding adventure. I always thought that Sindel was a good contrast to Night Wolf. And finally, its all there arnt no super villians here. No Goro, Kintaro, Motaro, or Shao Kahn. Id delete Noob Sabot (both versions), Jade, Johny Cage, Jade, and maybe Night Wolf if your keeping Sindel out.
You have a point, and we are now interesed in Kano, Kabal and Baraka, but we cant see how Sindel would work. Also, bosses such as Goro and Shao Kahn etc will be non-playable bosses. Thanks for the feedback and recomendations, there were indeed helpfull.
Forgot to add, Shang Tsung is basically imposible to add in this engine, at least without heavy engine changes, even Mortal Kombat 9 (2011) engine had problems with Shang Tsung transformations. Maybe he can added as a boss, but even that seems hard.
Including Kabal, might be kind of hard, but we thought it would be a fun character that it's worth adding.
And we've really really thought of implementing Baraka. While I was trying to come up something to write on this comment about the cons of baraka and the combo system we want to implement, we found out that indeed he is an ideal type of character because he DEALS DAMAGE THROUGH HIS BLADES.
Also the bosses won't be included as playable for now, as this is a Deathmatch Mod, however in the coop mod we will add them as... you guessed it. BOSSES.
We haven't found a way of making Noob Saibot viable in spite of being a fan favourite.
Kano we also rethought about it and find it viable for the system (knives and stuff) and that it could be fun. ;)
