heXen:Edge of Chaos will be a new and free game, based on the original Hexen game which was developed by id Software and Raven Software. Edge of Chaos is being developed by a team of fans who have always loved the original Hexen since it came out. In fact, most of us spent countless hours with the entire series. When id Software released Doom3, we immediately saw immense potential in the engine itself; the 'Hell' maps gave us the inspiration to make a hack-and-slash game based, primarily, on the original Hexen.

It was worth the wait!
i was downloading from moddb last night and they must have removed the one that was actually uploaded here while i was downloading it cause i woke up this morning and it was at like 4% i came here and was like ****... they removed it -.-
it wont let me run the instalation executable. i click on it, and a black box just flashes. it looks like the run box...
What executable? We didn't release an executable. You need to unzip the 'eoc' folder into your /doom 3 directory then either run the mod via the mods list in doom 3 or create your own shortcut.
hexen and heretic where one of my favorite series im soo glad to see people trying to keep the series alive....im soo sad that id hasent been smart enough to continue it or remake it....

Yes. Just download the .zip file from any mirror and unzip it into your /doom3 directory.
Is this game going to be updated more? I absolutely love this demo!
Sad this looks dead, last post on website was 2017, same with the forum and the IRC is down entirely. Guess we will never see this fully realized. Maybe someone else will pick this up and remake it for Doom 2017.
