Don't forget to check out the Patreon page for regular updates! ||| Status: Released - check IndieDB for download link ||| Hedon is an entirely original game (running on GZDoom Engine) designed by me (broadly known online as "Zan"), throughout the years, first as a concept/fantasy world, and thanks to the Doom modding community - an actual thing in the works. I'm an artist/fresh game dev who aims to go for as much original content as I can, including graphics (which I entirely draw from scratch in Photoshop), level design, coding, story, sound effects etc. in order to create a whole new game which tries to revive the long lost art of FPS design.
Not a new gameplay screenshot, but decided to replace the other one I had with an underwater setting because it was looking a bit too vague/foggy.
Dude, I can see how you're putting your soul into this. I hope you succeed, and I personally can't wait to play it!
Thanks, I am, and I can guarantee I will finish it, it's just a matter of time.
Hedon is AMAZING!
I love everything about it!
I even posted a guide on how to play it in Linux with Wine: Gamersonlinux.com
Keep up the hard work! Looking forward to more and more updates.
Any chance of a native Linux port?
Thanks, but you should update the description, you only slay Cultists and Chaotic Demons. Orcs/Goblins/Dwarves/Minotaurs are allied to you. Also, you might want to make it a lot more obvious that it's an early development game, so as people don't get confused.
As for a native Linux port, that depends on the GZDoom engine development team. They do have a version for Mac and Ubuntu, not sure what's up with Linux, though. Zdoom.org
Anyway, thanks a lot for sharing it around, and let me know if you do in the future, I would be able to share your guide around myself and help it spread.
No problem, I can totally update the description! I'll definitely put a note about still in development.
GZDoom definitely has a Linux version and Hedon runs perfectly, but I wasn't sure if you were going to release a Linux version of Hedon bundled with GZDoom or something on those lines.
Thanks for responding.
Oh, I totally could, but still, which one is the Linux version? I don't see it among the downloads, lol
The Ubuntu (64-bit) and Ubuntu (32-bit) under the Macintosh downloads.
