Heavy Gear Forever is a complete reproduction of Dream Pod 9's (www.dp9.com) Heavy Gear Universe. Heavy Gear was orginally a tactical and rpg based table top game, later Activision released 2 versions that lacked the total depth that truly is Heavy Gear. Our current crew is working extremely hard to make sure that HGF depicts Heavy Gear the way it should be.

the texture looks to flat. what with the gems and blue stones.
unless this game is scaled down. I take it's a take off of a minitures game?
I does look a little flat but still very well done. I like it a lot and still can't wait to play. I prefer a "Jaguar" or a "Hunter with jump jets" however ;)
Unfortunately, it does look flat. Problem with lack of panel-lines and the like. It's hard to get these things to look nice.
The gems and stones are actually lights and sensor packages.
Yeah, but everyone needs to remember, this is only the Alpha: Beta setup. Were still developing our skills, and we can later *Redesign* or do *Touch-ups* to increase their appearance and modification. Over all its still a good design, and yes, this game was originally a RPG involving Minis like the original Battletech Universe.
