Heat of Battle is an immersive team play oriented gameplay experience. Using a capture and hold objective system similar to that of Day of Defeat and BattleField 1942, HoB puts you into gripping struggles to control areas in an effort to dominate the other team. A great deal of gameplay variance is involved and every map can be an entirely different gameplay style. The HoB Dev Team is community driven and committed to making Heat of Battle the most realistic, customizable, and fun gaming experience to anyone who plays it.

The Heat of Battle Development Team is more than happy to bring you its much anticipated version 0.3 beta. Tomorrow, Thursday March 4th, at 8pm EST the mirrors will go live with the latest version of Heat of Battle. This release finally begins to encompass the overall game that we had always envisioned for HoB. More features have been added than I can list here but some of the most requested are more maps, (now 6 incredible maps total) weapon drop code, multi-person caps, a new objective HuD, the German Gewehr 43, and much, much more.

HoB server admins will love the level of control we provide as every feature is toggleable as well. All HoBo's are welcome to join the HoB Dev Team in a release party on IRC @ irc.gamesurge.net channel: #hob. Most of us will be getting there around 7pm EST.

We hope that this release can even slightly repay everyone in the community for their incredible support and interest in Heat Of Battle. We hope to see you on the servers!
