Harvest is a custom story for Amnesia: The Dark Descent, which places you in the shoes of Liam Connelly, a journalist for the Irish Record. Following a tip from the lead detective on a case he's been covering, Liam travels to a restored castle estate in County Kilkenny in hopes of breaking the story as it unfolds.

Release is scheduled for later today. I'm having a bit of trouble with the custom decals (they're not showing up) so I'm trying to get them working. If I'm not able, I'll just release without them.

Release day for Harvest: Prologue - Part I is upon us. Of course, packing the custom story up in order to upload it has led to some problems, namely the custom decals failing to appear in-game (though they appear normally in the editor). I'm trying to get them to show up properly but if I haven't managed to do it by morning, I'll release without them (they're not really essential, they just make the player's life a bit easier).

I'll be posting a few screenshots along with the final release, since some things have changed since the earlier gameplay video and screens (most notably, the player now has a choice between three different "endings", though one is more a "non-ending" since it only appears if the player fails to reach either of the other two.

I'll edit this post if any more relevant info comes up. Patience!

UPDATE: 23 August, 2011 - 5:15AM EST
Decals are now functional. Encountered a bug during last test run involving a monster. Attempting to reconcile. Low-priority as the bug requires the player to perform some unlikely actions, but for the sake of completeness I'm going to try to root it out. BlackBox is entirely unhelpful in this endeavor.

UPDATE: 23 August, 2011 - 7:00AM EST
Harvest: Prologue - Part I has been uploaded and is awaiting authorization. Once it's cleared, it will be found under the "addons" tab at the top of this page. It will also be uploaded to the Frictional Games forum, where it should be immediately available. I will provide a download link as soon as it's online.

UPDATE: 23 August, 2011 - 7:15AM EST
The download link is available in the Harvest Showcase post at Frictionalgames.com for those of you who don't want to wait for ModDB to authenticate it. Feel free to leave feedback on that thread until the release becomes available on this site (especially if there are files missing from the .zip).

Cheers,
