In Half Life 2 - Revolution you play as a recently initiated combine soldier through a series of 12 missions that take place during the course of Half Life 2. These missions will involve quashing rebel uprisings in an effort to keep the peace as city 17 is on the brink of rebellion, even more so now that Gordon Freeman has arrived out of the blue. 12 Missions are planned for Half Life 2 - Revolution ranging from assaulting a rebel base, to capturing the notorious rebel leader Eli Vance. Several new weapons and enemies are planned, including dual pistols, an upgraded assault rifle with scope, Desintagration grenades and more. Each mission will be individual, but will follow an ongoing campaign to try and keep the citizens from rebelling, you will visit several different locations including a remote area in the wasteland, underground rebel hideouts deep in the city 17 sewers, industrial and residential areas and a cave complex.
